Airline Recruitment
Hi All,
Has anybody got any news on when & what airlines are recruiting. Looking for my first job. I have about 1500 instructing hrs. Have applied to Flybe, easyJet etc...still waiting...:rolleyes: Went to recent BALPA conference and all airlines seem gloomy on recruitment side this year. Impression at BALPA conference in 2006 was most airlines were on serious recruitment drive.. but seems like have missed the boat...:ugh::ugh: Has anybody got inside info speaking to TRE/TRI's for when their airlines may get new aircraft so they may look to recruit a group of new F/O's to run type rating courses rather than recruit experienced pilots with current type ratings for attrition, i.e: no acquisition of new aircraft. The big BMI cock up with regards to losing some of their aircraft orders for the foreseeable future does not help as mentioned in another thread.. All help and advice would help from pilots knowing any future recruitment plans for their airlines. Best of luck to all in a similar position to me.. Let us keep the faith of good news soon!!!!:ok: mac23 |
MAC,
I think many airlines in 2008 will consolodate. A much slower year for recruitment is predicted, but don't stop trying:ok: |
Try Thomas Cook, they are definitely recruiting next year, although they were initially looking for type rated....you never know
good luck |
Ryanair is always looking. But bring cash :E

Why not try fast track command with Cathay.
(Edited after checking up on the fragrant harbour forum) But check the numerous post about CX before you do so. Seems some pilots are not too happy about their T&Cs these days. |
thanks guy; will try that one; what is it with all the time in type requirements; are they serious??? how do you hire somebody with a380 or b777 time; find the concept funny; have suspicion those places attract flat help; are those requirements negotiable in general??? if anybody has the scoop i appreciate the info; fly safe everybody; cheers :}
