How to get CAS / SEP Certification?
 

Hi everybody,

I am a F/O who is flying for a Star Alliance Company in Europe. I just learned that you have to be CAS/SEP certified in order to fly jumpseat on flights in the USA.

I quite often fly on standby in the US and end up missing many flights just because I don't have this certificate.

Does anyone know how to get this certificate?

CASS is a system where the airline you work for maintains a data file complete with picture and updated daily that another airline can access to determine that you are who you say you are. Your employer airline would have to join the system.

what airlines have entered this system in europe and middleeast?

I have no idea. The TSA in the US oversees it. It's my understanding there isn't much non-rev jumpseating in Europe.
