club328-what's it Like?
I am looking for anyone in the know who could tell us what it is like flying for Club328. Have already been on ppjn. What are the terms and conditions like? Pay?? Are their pilots well treated? How many flying hours can you expect in a year? Is there a good variety of flying?
Any usefull information much appreciated. Thanks:ok: |
Club328
Salary industry norm, coalface Pilots a great bunch of people, EGHI good location to operate out of. Dornier an excellent aircraft - great fun, Hawker 800 the most lovely mid-Jet, I wont be drawn on the Premier!! ;)

thanks for your reply. have up-coming assessment with them. getting a bit excited. what kind of destinations have you been to?? I hear that you need to do a stint in ops. is this true?? Have not got a problem with ops (in fact think it would be good experience) but what kind of balance is there between doing ops duties and flying?? |

Don't want to dampen your spirits and hopefully something has changed in the last 12months but I and about 20 people went through the Club328 selection and PASSED only to be messed around for months before all went quiet. One of these poor guys actually sold up and moved to Southampton only to be told that they were going through a bit of a difficult patch, aircraft orders cancelled, a/c going back to the lessors etc. and the job was no longer on offer. Hopefully the involvement of CTC for professional selection will remove the extremely unprofessional element that was involved in my 'almost' recruitement. Still, if you have your heart set on private jet flying I would suggest you widen your search!

thanks for that. I do have my heart set on biz-jets; problem is it is hard for someone like myself (under 1000hrs) to break in this industry. They seem to be offering a great opportunity with nice aircraft to fly. what more can i ask for?

:}Hi All
Anyone gone to CTC for stage 2 yet, and if so what did it consist of ? Thanks in advance PM if you would rather. EGHI |
I hear the new person(not sure for how long) in charge is attempting to make the management aspect a better operation, and the whole operation more professional.
If she(?) is, then well and good. If the old style is still there, hmm. In which case, mind your back. CP was not really bothered with crew welfare or t&c. Watch your pay and expenses, Especially with regard to what is reported to HMCR. DO NOT EVER use your own credit card to sort out a bill to be repaid later. Keep a close eye on your duty hours. Especially if the roster is still issued retrospectively. Grab the experience, and be prepared to move on. The guys on the line are/were great. Flying was varied and great. Treatment by ops was miserable most of the time. As for being messed about. It seems that some of the senior management believe that is what is meant by corporate/business operations. I certainly hope things have improved in recent years. |
