New Ryanair Pay Scale
 

A local newspaper article stated that Ryanair had improved the pilot pay scale to a top of 160,000 Euros. Does anyone know where I can find details about this?

the 160,000 eros line is total rubbish nobody will be getting near that its just another MOL load of c..p

just a shame that the dublin boys have made it a bit awkward to say the least by acepting the deal,the guys in stansted are now going to have some thinking to do

I might not agree with the Ryanair PR but given IMPACT said in the statement that at least some pilots would get that level means the above statement is another load of c..p

Ciaran Hancock Business Affairs Corr of the Irish Times reports 'inter alia':
'Ryanair has agreed a four year pay deal with its full time pilots in Dublin that it says will improve the pay of its captains by more than 25K Euro a year.
Ryanair says they will receive more than 10,000 a year in increases to their basic pay and allowances.
They will also earn more than 12,000 annually in sector pay rises.
In addition a 5,000 a year contribution will be made to their pensions and changes to rosters will give the pilots four days off after every five they work.
Its senior captains in Dublin could now earn more then 160,000 Euro a year. Ryanair has also agreed to improve the speed at which its co-pilots will be promoted.
The new rosters will take effect in mid-October while the pay increases will be awarded on November 1st. About 60 pilots will benefit'.

4100x12= 49200 a year net basic pay
30.5euroxscheduled block hr.x 900hr year= 27450
5000 pension
Total: 81650 a year
29 days A/L a year but 9 allocated by the company to accomodate the 5/4 rooster, that doesn't mean that you will have a block of 9 days all togheter, in 9 occasion during the year your pattern will be 5on/3off/1A/l
Medicals during your days off at your exepense
No loss of licence
No insurance
This deal will remain valid upon no union recognition at any FR base for the next 4 years
No industrial action that involve striking for next 4 years.
If you are UK based you wil be responsible for your accomodation in EMA during LPC/RST.

The deal will remain valid as long as MOL sees fit, at which time he will then rip up, just like he has done with every other deal. In 4 years time, unless there is a concerted union drive, pilots will be earning significantly less than the money in this "deal."
These proposals were put to ryr by some unelected pilots who had no mandate to negotiate. The very fact that ryr agreed to it is the first clue that it has no benefit to the pilot body.
Oh and there's nobody in ryr ever gonna actually see the €160k as if that needed to be said.
This is purely propaganda aimed at convincing newbies to part withl silly money to then get paid a pittance.

81,000 Euro, is this the first officers package?
The opening post on this thread claimed 160,000 Euro.
On the UK 5/3 deal I average about 80,000 sterling (120,000 Euro) for about 700 hours. Where is the pay rise?

Infact there is absoulutly no pay increase, and yes this what a captain is making on the new deal in a euro base, by the way 80K sterling for UK captains sounds a bit too much to me something like 20K too much, maybe you are BRK???

At least 20k too much for a RYR cpt!!!

I am employed, not Brookfield. 5 on 3 off UK base. mid fifties basic plus about 20 grand sector pay. Last P60 was approx 76000 sterling, (120,000 Euro)
I am still wondering about the 160,000 Euro.

The figures I am quoting are gross, are you talking about take home pay?

That's correct same as me... 54k sterling GROSS basic per yr., which makes it around 3250£ NETT per month + an average of 1800£ so a total of 5000£ nett per month (the 95Hr one) so total between 55 and 60K net per year.
Personally i think that 160000euro is the cost of a well equipped brand new Porsche911, defenitly not the yearly income of ANY RYR skipper, not even the BRK ones before tax!!

Thanks for the responses folks. I assumed 160000 would be a very rare number to see. So 120000 is a realistic ballpark figure it seems.

Its all in the language. Ryanair say a 'Senior' Captain and in there eyes thats a LTC/TRI/TRE as I understand it!

I am all of the above but not based in Ireland and get increments for long service which very few get now and am still in the Final Salary Pension.

So if P60s are anything to go by mine said £118K last year. (Have to admit it was a shock to see that much and Gods knows where its gone)

But I can assure you FR dont give it away and they make sure they get their pound of flesh.

Can be done but i doubt any Line Capt will see 160,000 Euro.

By my reckoning, £118,000 equates to around €174,000 at current rates.

Sounds about right.

But dont forget thats the money at the very top of the tree and in sterling.

And its still not enough.

I believe most TRE's in Easy and other TRE's in equivalent size airlines earn more.

As a non-pilot looking from the outside in - it looks like you people are doing OK.

In the past I have worked as a recruitment consultant dealing with finance professionals in the City, and only the very best and brightest (ie Oxbridge 1st class hons, first time passes ACA etc etc) would get the sort of salaries I read being bandied about on this website.

In return for the £100k salary, these people are expected to work 12hr days in a ruthless environment.

Apart from the golden boys working in the city, most professionals outside London would be pleased to bring home more than £50k.

If you want the big bucks, you need to be self employed.

So I guess the question is - why all the whining?

25k pay rise?????
 

i am a simple man and an even simplier pilot but eduardo is claiming that this is a 25k payrise,fact. i read it on the ryr webpage myself.

but if one throws their memory back to the ryr banners that used to appear on this very site along with ryr's own website it claimed that capts earned 145k per annum,fact.

so if my maths are right(let me get my calculator first,carry the 1) 160k-145k should equal 15k????? i am just wondering where the other 10k has gone eddie????

Col Blimp. Let me be the first to shoot you. If you're an outsider looking in, you shouldn't draw judgement on how or why we earn more than an oxbridge 1st sitting in an office in london for 24hrs a day.

It's called risk factor vs responsiblity. If your friend pushes the wrong button on his pc, he can can press delete and re type his work. If we make a mistake in a howling crosswind on a snow covered runway then hundreds of people could end up six foot under.

If you dont understand the basics then dont post that sort of rubbish.. 'my mate's a really clever merchant banker on 50k, you guys earn more' blah blah blah...

To be a TRE at easy you need to have flown fast jets...

TRE package is approx £120,00, so for all the chat here the article is still correct.:rolleyes:

TRE basic salary at easyJet is £90780 plus sector pay (grosses up at £13000) plus loyalty (5-15% of basic) plus 7% pension.

Typical gross therefore £110K
