Airline rostering systems, which one do you have?

At the moment in BA there is a massive change to our Bidline system being voted upon.

Bidline is generally an excellent, transparent and good two pass system based upon seniority.

BALPA has spent some considerable time and effort negotiating the proposed changes and is selling the package hard. The reps are telling us that BA is now the ONLY airline to use Bidline and that ALL other airlines use systems which give the pilot little or no control over their work pattern.

Would any kind people care to elaborate (in a few words) on the system in use at their airline?

Thanks.

Do not give up your bid line, it is the best rostering system. Our rostering is sh#t, you have no input or control of your life. The Airline will have you by the balls and will work you to within an inch of your life and when you complain they will come back with the same old answer, its legal. We get two weeks notice as to what we are doing the following month and you get taken from earlies to lates and back to earlies in the blink of an eye leaving you knackered on your days off. Do not let BALPA sell you guys short, they have done this many times before........fight it for gods sake:ok:
