How many days do you work a month??

Seen my April roster and working 12 days!

Is this a normal amount for an airline pilot?

autobrakemedium 24th March 2001 16:06

I always have inly 8/9 days off a month. With about 12 to 15 flying days and the rest as standbys or rest days.

CaptSensible 24th March 2001 17:08

Pinhead;
Well, I dunno! Are you a pilot??

Shouldn't this be on Terms and Endearment.

EasyGo-Lucky? 24th March 2001 18:00

23 days working in a 31 day month. Only the minimum of rest until the crew shortage problem is resolved. Anyone fancy the Far East?

Fuwhead 24th March 2001 18:14

I have only worked 5 days this month soon I going to forget how to fly, but I have been flying for an Irish company that fly red planes. http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/frown.gif

757/767 Intl for US major still on reserve - 19 days split into 3 blocks. Also, don't get anywhere near the 6 weeks vacation that UK/Euro airlines are required to give. If anyone wants to complain about US pilot pay, they can KMA.

Last roster at Monarch:-
8 days off – some of them only single days,
13 flying days – 26 sectors
2 sim
2 office
1 stood down
5 standby
11 plot changes

Denti 26th March 2001 20:52

Just got my roster for April (until 1st of May):

10 days flying
10 days standby
11 days off.

33 sectors, six of them charter, the rest scheduled shorthaul operation.

2 nightstops.

And thats still overtime working 'cause a standby-day counts as 3 blockhours and i'm only allowed to work 850/year.
