Ops Staff Employment Contract

Not sure if this is the right place or not, but can anyone tell me the legal ins and outs of employment contracts for ground staff? I started with an airline in May last year and have only just received a contract. The start date on the contract states "2001"....that's it. There are numerous dodgy sounding statements within the contract so any help would be appreciated here.

it would help if you gave some more details, ref. place (country) employment and examples for the "dodgy clauses".
