Hi
Just another question on EZS: Is it possible to jump from EZY UK to EZS? I've asked this question numerous times but no-one seems to know the answer. I know the transfer policy doesn't apply to EZS (although i don't see why it shouldn't), but I do know that people from EZS have been jumping to EZY. Just wondered if EZS returns the favour. |
Yes it is possible. Obviously it is not as easy as the other way around due to the smaller size of EZS. Currently there is a transfer list for Fo's only and it seems that most people on there had a response within 12month.
But, keep in mind, that things were moving due to the fllet expansion at EZS (so, once they got their aircrafts, things might slow down again). Once you hit the top of the list and a transfer is offered, you have your interview with the swiss guys, change of operator courses, etc. |
thanx
sounds like a great job!? maybe one day Happydayz |

What is the roster in EZS, 5/4/5/3 aswell?
Are there only swiss pilots welcome or aswell Germans, french,......? Is the working permit a problem then? how long to command? Which base would be more likely GVA or BSL? Thank you for your replies! Osterhase |
First of all, I am not working for EZS, so the infos that I have are second hand and might have changed.
As far as I know, EZS was looking at a 5/3 5/4, but nothing has been implemented; in other words, itīs a floating roster. Obviously there are mostly Swiss guys working there (ex TEA and ex Crossair), but also a lot of French and German pilots (mostly CRX). Workpermit is no big deal since the bilateral agreements are in force. Basically if you hold a EU passport you can live and work in Switzerland (just some paperwork that has to be completed, but really no big deal). Most of the Basel based crew prefer to live in France or Germany due to the lower cost of living. Basewise, there are more openings in GVA than in BSL due to the bigger fleet size in Geneva. But, as the fleets are still growing, you never know. :) Hope it helps Saabdriver:) PS. Command ........ Initial rumors were up to 5 years, but with the expansion, I know people that got their upgrade within 2-3 years (with previous experience that is ...) |
thanx a lot!

All said is pretty much accurate. I would go for 75/90h block per month though... And 90% of days are 4 sectors, 9 to 11h duty time. Expect 12 to 14 days off per month.
A lot of people at EZS still have a hard time accepting that it's a low-cost and that crew-ratio will always be low. That means YOU WILL work a lot and often get called out of stand-by. The 60h/month charter days of TEA are gone and some people just don't seem to accept it. |
Any New News?
Does anyone have info. regarding hiring? Any expansion plans?
