Renewal of A320 rating? Help please
Gents,
I used to fly the A320/321 in the UK on a CAA ATPL but have let the rating lapse since flying the A340 for the last 8 years. I'd like to renew it but am unsure of how to do it. Would someone kindly help me by advising the best and / or cheapest way of doing this please? For info; I now have a JAA ATPL. cheers in advance |
As it has expired by more than five years, the British CAA will need your details to assess what it is they want you to do to re-activate the rating. As you have been Airbussing meantime, you might get away with just an LPC. Allow three hours sim for the test; less than that looks a bit suspicious.
Have a look on http://www.caa.co.uk/ Good luck. |
Thanks fantom :)
Much appreciated |
More help please....
Back again for more assistance please. After five years without renewal, but flying the A330 and A340, i still have to;
a. "Complete type technical training and obtain a pass the ground exam in accordance with the TRTO/ FTO approval." Does anyone know where I can 'pass' this exam without paying loads of money and minimal hassle? I live in the UAE, so a contact address near here would be wonderul. Thanks again :) |
Surely you only have to CCQ your rating back to A320 from the 330/340?
Is this not how your got your 330/340 rating in the first place? I would think it should surely be a reverse process, as it is not as if you were flying Boeings or MD's for example. BR. |
