Easyjet Rosters and Leave
Hi Ezy Pilots,
I could not find an answer to these questions in the forum, so here it is: Is there any way to take leave days (vacation or holidays) immediately before or after your normal days off? Say, can you take 2 or 3 vacation days just before or after your normal roster "4" days off? ( That would create 6 or 7 consecutive days off) Or does it have to be a minimum of 5 vacation days in a block, before or after your normal days off? (Again, creating 3+5+4 consecutive days off or 4+5+3 days off) Thanks everyone for the help! |
You can take days immediately before or after rostered days off. The only rule is that you are not allowed to leave a single day working. So if Monday to Thursday was rostered off, you could book the Friday off but you would not be allowed to book the Sat off as that would leave a single days working on the Friday. You could of course book the Friday and the Saturday off. Does that make sense?
Also if you book leave during your reserved month you will automatically get a day off either side of the days that you have booked leave on. |
Hi TooFast
You can add leave to your days off with the one proviso that you do not leave a single day of duty, ie you can take up to three days leave before or after your days off, but not four. Keep smiling it make the management nervous. |
Thank you for the reply... very clear
By the way... how is the MAD base set up going? I ´ve heard that not many Ryanair pilots are willing to move to MAD, is it the same at EZY? Thank you again! Cheers |
Exactly!
BALPA is even suggesting NOT to sign MAD contracts for good reasons! |
About this Madrid thing with EZY, then I know one of the arguments for not going there was, that there would be a decrease in salary compared to the UK contracts. But according to EZY's homepage this seems to have been corrected, even in a way so you will have more money net on a MAD contract then on a UK contract, as both basic salary and flight duty pay is quit a lot higher.
I can not really see the negative about the MAD base setup as it is now?? Or is there something that I am missing there? |
Thanks again for the reply.
Well, regarding the MAD contract it seems that the money is not bad, only a few points not completely clear: Taxes, for Spanish, and also for Euro, guys/gals Spanish pension "forced" employee contribution, if any Medical coverage, if any Rosters and days off, besides the 34 days mentioned. Would be great to listen more about MAD before starting engines Cheers! |
Up&Down, a bit off topic but are you reading the same Easy home page as I am???
Duty pay for a captain in spain: 36 or 60€ a DAY!!! In the UK that would be 26 or 40€ per SECTOR, for four sectors international 160€ in the uk against 60 in spain. For six sectors domnestic 156€ UK against 36 in spain. No LOL, no 7% pension. A captain will pay 45% taxes in spain, so caculate your net again! |
Hi Sarah
Hmm, I think I read it as per sector and not per day. But I can see what you mean as it doesn't state secor-pay anywhere. That was a head up for me, thanks for that :ok: |
ITS A RECORD!!!!!!!!!!
A thread about booking leave is hijacked into the MAD contract after 2 replies!!!!!!!!!! |
True, but some things are just more important than others!:)
|
To be fair, I'm not sure if you can hijack your own thread.
|
MAD again
Good Morning!
@ Sky Wave: good point, I think it might be tricky to hijack your own thread...:) Is anybody able and willing to comment on the rosters in MAD? I heard it won't be 5/3/5/4, so what's it like? Thanks a lot, happy landings! |
