BMI Mainline salary & roster

Hi Guys,

Does anybody who flies for BMI mainline (LHR) know what the roster pattern is like for the A320 fleet? What would be a typical take home month (pay) for an F/O?

I am 737 rated with a lo-co airline and just wondering what the T & C's are like.

Many thanks

BMI Mainline

Has anyone got any info on Interviews; good guy, bad guy routine, or is it a relaxed affair?
What about testing, is there the usual psychometric testing, aerodynamics, LVP's, Performance questions?
Is there a Sim assessment, if so what are the profiles/routes used, is it an A320 Sim?

Any advice gratefully received. :ok:

The IPA used to hold a databank of interview questions etc for UK based airlines. Might be worth a phonecall.

Otherwise the sim we use for conversions/recurrent training is the A320 sim at Stockley, operated by GECAT. (but with bmi trainers)

Hope this helps;)

Thanks for the link, I'm not too sure how I didn't spot that one.

I sent my details to Linda Lazenby a few months ago and updated them 2 days ago. I still haven't had any response yet. I take it she is dealing with the applications?

Can I safely assume that due to the BMED take over, that BMI will no longer be recruiting? :(

BMED about to recruit

I head today that BMED are about to start recruiting next week. (some) BMED crew will not be happy to loose the Bririths Airways franchise agreement, the staff travel and of course the uniform and will be sadly on their way to another airline - this will open up space for new entrants into BMED.

The aircraft will continue to remain operational and operating those routes even at the end of the summer when the franchise agreement is terminated, they'll be needing more crew, then you will naturally be recuited by BMI.

clubworld, thanks for the heads up. Details sent to Viktoriya.

Linda Lazenby is not really the correct person to send your CV to. Brian Burns is now the resource manager for bmi mainline.

I sent my application to Brian Burns and got the rejection from Linda Lazenby :\

Blue Baron,

I have sent you a PM.:ok:

bmi mainline - how do I join & what's it like?

I'm lucky enough to have been invited for an interview with bmi mainline in a few weeks time. As usual, I've used the search facility & trawled through all the results to find out what to expect... but frankly there's very little info. Is this because so few people have been for selection with bmi recently or are they just keeping shtumm.....?

Any information on the selection process would be very gratefully received - interview content, tech quiz, any maths/ ability tests?

Also, what's it like to currently work for bmi? I know there were some serious issues last year but it's all gone a bit quiet of late - have they been resolved? Any steers towards latest pay, pensions, T's & C's, basing, rostering, time to command, average working day, etc would also be really useful.

Please take some time to provide an answer.... I need the money! ;)

Thanks.

I see that the BMI Mainline recruitment has now closed, according to the Message on the recruitment Hotline.:{

Does the lack of any reply fully put you in the picture now? :ugh:

RoyHudd 19th February 2007 21:04

Errr...did you say "LUCKY enough?"....come back to us in 2 years after you have been "lucky" enough to join, and tell us how "lucky" you now feel!

Not being too serious, great trainers, mostly, great colleagues, just M25, car parking/bus in and bmi management to contend with. And they do have a habit of trimming the workforce rather drastically.

Good luck with your interview, etc
