Interview EAAC

Hi,

I have been invited to attend an interview and group excercise at European Aviation Air Charter for a FO position, and was hoping somebody could give me a heads up as to what to expect?

Also, does anybody have any information on roster pattern/salary etc.?

Many thanks in advance,

W.O.

luddite 2nd December 2006 13:41

Salary was pretty much average.
There was no pattern, can't imagine that's changed a great deal - expect absolutely anything.
But you will be flying one of the last real aeroplanes and they did have a splendid training department.
Of course there was the usual whingeing but for variety and fun flying it was the best job I ever had.
Good luck!
:)

If you get it - enjoy the variety, there were some excellent people to work with once at the jet. Don't expect anything like a stable roster but if you're young enough you can probably cope with the way the company "runs".

Get your jet hours from them, then go get a proper job with a future. Advice expensively and painfully learnt.

Zurg,

Could you go into a bit more detail about the roster instability. Just trying to get an idea if its irratic flying but planned in advance etcor if its lots of standby last minute jobs etc.

Any EAAC pilots out there that know the exact salary & flight pay.

Cheers

Hi Peeps

Can I ask what experience level you :ugh: are. I’m just curious as I hand delivered my application, part time FI, 1000Hrs mainly SEP, living locally and meet all the specified requirements. Looks like it’s a no go for me. Best of luck anyway..

EAAC Company info

Hi
Got an interview with EAAC in 2 weeks and would just like to know a little more about life there right now ie. pay, rosters, etc! Anyone out there be of any help? ;)
I believe that they've lost the 747 fleet and are just down to 3 737's now.
Plus if anyone can give me a heads up on what to expect in the interview & group exercise I'd be most grateful!
Cheers! :ok:

Hi folks,
You may find nobody can help much with this. When I joined I had a last minute 1 to 1 interview followed by sim ride in the 727. There were no group exercises. Since the last staff 'cull' there has been a change of pilot management so I suspect this could be the reason for the change in approach. Both the fleet manager and training manager are excellent though and should look after you well. Good luck with it, it's certainly an interesting place to work!

Can someone provide details on routes and QOL? Is it still operating 737-200s on adhoc charter throughout Europe? Where are the pilot bases again? I knew a bloke who flew for them a few years back and he is now flying for Easy - he enjoyed his experience there.

Cheers

Tim_Q 13th December 2006 10:13

Routes are very varied except for the regular 'Palmair' flying out of Bournemouth, the ad-hoc work makes the job very interesting but also very unstable. As far as I know everyone is still based at Bournemouth so there is a lot of positioning to other airports and a lot of hotels. Roster stability was always a major gripe at EAC, it used to be non existent.

EAAC Sim Check

Hi, I have a Sim Check for European on Thursday. I believe they started today, just wondering if anybody here has done it. Although I have the profile, I was wondering if there are any surprises or do they stick to the profile as published. Any info would be great, feel free to PM me. Thanks TTT.

Snoop 11th January 2007 17:17

A mate of mine did the sim assessment this week. Said he found the 727 a bit of a git. Hasn't heard anything yet.

skysunclouds 15th January 2007 14:14

Got the thumbs up last week, start on the 12th Feb with ground school. Anyone else heard?
