A320 Type Rating Course.
 

Looks like there has been a glitch here, so I'll post this Again.

Is there anyone interested in pairing up to do an A320 Type Rating Course?
I'm looking at Alteon, Gecat or CAE at the moment. It will just be to get the A320 endorsed on UK License.

And don't forget to include in your course the price for a line training..
Advice from an A320 type rated pilot: TYPE RATING WITHOUT HOURS ON TYPE IS USELESS. My partner and most of my friends (A320 rated) are still looking for a job, some have been on Eagle's waiting list for line training for almost 2 years.
Unfortunately you will only be aware of the situation after having spent your $$$$$$:\

ACP, I'm very sorry to here that. What is your current experince level?
If you are straight out of a training school then it is a VERY big Gamble to take.
I am relatively experienced, that is the problem though, as the Jet I currently fly, use to stand you in good stead to move on. Unfortunately the likes of Easy Jet have devalued that experience, which now makes it very difficult for me to move on, even though I have over 5000 hours on that type, they would still rather I went through their TRSS course which is taking the P1ss somewhat!:ugh:

My view is that if you are experienced on a reasonable Jet, then adding a rating such as the A320 or B737 may well open the door we are looking for.
There are jobs available at the moment that will consider your past experience and offset that against you just having the basic rating.

It is STILL a gamble but one that I consider worth taking.:ok:

I totally agree with the last post. If you have a reasonable experience in jets or even on "bigs" turboprops such as ATRs or Dash, adding an A320 or B737 type rating can help you to open that door. Of course if you only have piston experience, the type rating is useless
