Negotiations/Disputes....

After taking some time out to reflect on present events in the Nordic Flight Crew Insutrial Relations climate, I consulted some colleagues working in other European/Asian operators and all of them were quick to report present and or pending disputes, negotiations etc. some with potential collective action looming.

This sparked another thought and out of interest, I thought maybe we could put together an inventory of airlines that are presently in the process of disputes/negotiations etc. that is either happening right now, or pending in the very near future - to get the ball rolling:

1) SK
2) FR

......

The intention of this post IS NOT to spark a wind up and my idea was to keep it plain and simple by just listing carrier codes...hopefully this will serve to prevent driving the intended content of this post off track!

Look forward to your input!

Well, I guess you will see this in about every airline, big or smaller.

There will always be some level of dispute between pilots and management because of the ways of thinking. We would like to have a life and some cash to spend on food, whilst the management is looking for people to work for free or minimum wadge. Besides the money issue, there is another hundred of them. :*

Negotiations, yes for those airlines who has a agreement between pilots and management. i.e.FR doesn't have this kind of understanding :ouch: . Airlines who had their negotiations until now have had a struggle due to bad times. I personally think that starting the negotiations now is tactical better because of the future looks brighter and that gives us a better position. :ok:

Honestly, how many pilots do think that their managment is fully competent for their work? So far in my 12 years in the business I havn't met one yet. But who knows, perhaps I will tomorrow ;)
