Easy Jet: How long does it take after submitting the application form?
 

Dear PPrune User,
I have applied for Easy Jet (Direct Entry FO) last November via the online application form, but had no response yet :confused: :confused:
So my question is: Does EZY Jet also give negative responses or is no news =M good news? Does anybody know, if there are presently giving invitations for assesment?

Hi, I filled out application early december and had an immediate receipt response, this was followed by another email (probably two weeks later) informing me the application was successful and that i should await an assessment date..... Nothing since!
If anyone has any experience of the average duration candidates sit in this holding pool I'd appreciate it.

I was interviewed assessed and hired as a DEC within 10 days or so but have heard of guys waiting several months and then getting the call. keep the faith . it really is worth the wait despite all the muck you read on this site.

I got a positive response to my application within 2 weeks. That was in september...was called for interview in december :ok:

Recruiting process at EZY ain`t easy! Lot of different stories! No regularities!
Some got in fast - other wait (for ever?):(

easyJet IS recruiting at the moment. Submitted an application about 3 weeks ago, got a response 2 days later that it was received. A couple of days ago they called from recruitment, inviting to an assessment in February.
So, if you REALLY want the job, try and submit a new application. It might work the second time around :}

Yep you got that right: no regularities. It´s part of the selection process guys/gals! It prepares you for your ´career´ (i.e. logging enough hours ´till you can leave) in EZY! :hmm:

Yep ok it's the recruitment process, but it does seem to differ between a couple of weeks and a few months - could it be down to the base preferences entered on the application form?

Can someone please help me with a interesting question about recruitment at Easy?

I have been hearing several things from alot of people, but I was wondering if EVERYBODY who gets into Easy should enter via the TRSS?

From what I have understood via the site, it is only for low airline timers.

I have more then 3500 hours of which 1400+ jet hours and 3200+ Airline time, am I still supposed to enter the company via the TRSS?

My guess is that if you don´t have a 737 or A319 rating you will most probably be TRSS.

Lot´s of people are going to greener pastures and TRSS is a good way of keeping FO´s ´loyal.´

I don't understand it. On their site they have written that for non-Ailine experienced candidates, they have this TRSS. On the salary and benefits section you also find salary tables for NON-type rated guys, so I figured when I applied, with my experience, that I will not have to enter this TRSS. I have a ATPL and a command rating on a jet(non 737/A319), 7+ years in airlines, am I Airline inexperienced? So I don't seem to get it.

Can anyone please give me some clarity on this matter? Cause I have a interview coming up and I want to know what's up.

Do us a favour and advise the easyJet interview people that you will not sign up to the TRSS scheme. In fact, you could ask which one of them has done so themselves and if not why should you?

If enough pilots have the balls to decline their offer of buying a seat, true cost of about £50,000 after the numbers worked out, then eayJet will drop it.
