Hello all,

I already tried the search function to answer my question but it seems it s not working yet.
I wanted to know what salary you can expect as a S2000 F/O for CARPATAIR.
I actually have big chances of flying for themas an F/O by the end of this year, but I need to buy an appartment now. Its size and price will depend on that future salary.

For a local FO ,the pay is around 600-800 Euro.
As far as I know,there is one foreign FO at S2000,at the moment,and his pay is around 2200-2500 Euro.Above this you'll get some perdiem,not so much.
They will probably need pilots,cause some of their local pilots are leaving this yr.

Thanks very much for your answer Alexban. The salary is better than I thought. They said they might emloy me as soon I am ready, witch will be around end of this year.

Do you work for them ?

No,I don't work for them,but I have close friends working for them as cpt's or instructors..The amount for foreign fo is not 100% sure,but I guess you can take it in consideration.But I doubt this will be enaugh to buy an apartment....
Also i know nothing about taxes,or any aditional costs...you should have this sorted before joining.
You'll work hard,max hours,but I guess it's ok with you.Good people to work with,and also good SOP,as I've heard.If you need help on the way,let me know,maybe I can assist you.

Thanks again Alexban. Do you know if foreign pilots have to live in Timisoara, or is it possible to travel home after a few days flying ?

Don't know ,yet,about living or not in Timisoara.
You'll be very busy,with max hrs/month almost sure,so ,not much free time on your hands.Even local pilots had to move to Timisoara,I heard it was requested so by the employer.
But,I'm sure it would be cheaper for you to stay in Timisoara,to rent something there,and live there compared to other city in w-europe.
And the romanian girls,are,at least ,superrr...:p
And nice pubs,too...Timisoara is not a big city,though..

Yes you will earn 2000 EUR + per diem and you will need to move there. For exemple you can eat for 5 EUR...
Great experience but you will fly a lot and have fun!

A word of advice NEVER BY ANYTHING ON A PROMISE OF A JOB IN AVIATION any aviation job is only as good as the last pay cheque that you cashed!

Thanks very much for your infos and advices guys, at least now I have a good vision of the life there. The problem is I can't leave the company where I am currently working as an engineer because I signed a huge bonding contract for my last TR. But I will be there by the of Year...
