Qatar Airways

First of all: happy new year to everyone!

Second: anybody out there who can give me some info on working for Qatar Airways? I'm thinking about applying but can't find anything about rostering, benefits etc...

I think you need your head examined!, been there done that would not go back!
better with GF, Emirates or Ethiad!

Avoid like the plauge. The CEO/dictator is ruthless from what I have heard... Better to look elsewhere where flight crew are actually respected.

Qatar Airways is really not all that bad.. just depends on you.. yes it can occasionally be very hard to deal with the poor treatment, but I tend to just shrug it all off.. as I would just trudge on and keep looking to have a bit of fun , while making ok money and gaining valuable experience,, good and bad.. flying and not..

nothing is ever perfect no matter where you go.. just make the best of it all,, and when you no longer like it.. take your bags and move on.. thats all there is.. no drama there.

Thanks for all the replies; I'll make my decision soon. And I know it's not perfect anywhere, but I'm starting to think that my current job (flying 747 with a well established airline in Europe) isn't too bad after all.... Thanks again! Cheers to you all!

Well.. one thing about that post is true.. The Cabin Crew have it much harder than the Flight Deck.

don't get me wrong, life is not perfect in the front of the bus either.. but not really that bad.

all of us know we are loosing alot of good folks and have been for quite sometime now.. some flight deck and many Cabin Crew..

Hope things get better for the masses, as I have been quite positive and easy going to all the changes, in my few years of being with QA I see things constantly changing for the better .. sometimes small, but heading in the right direction.
