Is the way to command shorter if joining on the 737 instead of joining on 757 and switch over to 737 when being upgraded?
I have been offered 757, but think I will request 737 if the left seat is within reach quicker. At the moment I have 3400 h total and 1100 PIC. Ciao // L |
Larry001,
All quick commands will be on the 737. However everything is based on seniority so the most important thing is to get on the list. Join the company any way you can and then bid for command. Get in line though. MAX:cool: |

The guy going for f/o who did the sim assessment with me, was told by the BY trainer that command on the 737 could come along as quickly as 6 months from joining.
That said, things might have changed a little in the last year or so. |
Important thing is to join and GET A BID IN FOR A COMMAND Rumour is the company is looking at less hour srequired for command. You will also be surprised how many F/O's meet this new requirement. Though you still need to be made of the 'right stuff' ;) MAX:cool: |
People are starting still
Hi all,
was looking at the seniority list today and noticed a few people on the bottom of it. 4 started on the 3rd July and there are 6 who start at the end of the month. Am not going to name names as this would breach Data protection rubbish, all i can say is good luck to those guys and enjoy as much as i do, and for all others keep you head up and you'll get there soon. 259 |

What next?
I didnt want to start yet another Tfly thread so thought this one might be a good place to ask :)
What happens if one gets through day 2 at Tfly? What I'm asking is there any other tests or stumbling blocks? I guess there must be a medical and they will check up on your references, is that about it? Thanks |
They send you a contract, you sign it. They tell you what you need for the first day of your course (CRC etc), you get it and take it with you.
Job Done, happy flying. |
Is the Thomson pilot recruitment process still ongoing? Sent in the paper application just before the advert disappeared from the web site, but haven't heard anything. Does this mean not interested, or in that case do you at least get a "thanks, but no thanks message" - any info gratefully received.

Recruitment is 'frozen' across the group. Details on another thread.
