A tie?What is that?

nimbuscumulus 18th December 2005 23:06

I hope we're talking DE F/O here?

Bratko 19th December 2005 14:46

L.E, you need to bone up on your orange culture, and I hope it is not DE LH, that would be rather inappropriate at this time.

LeadingEdge 19th December 2005 16:53

Bratko,
You are just jealous, aren't you? What about your application to Gulfstream International as a DE FO on the BE1900D?Maybe you want to explain why you were rejected??And why don't ya like the orange culture,to me it seems very clear that you were rejected by EZY and now are bashing on the orange culture, don't you.

I hope we're talking DE F/O here?
Indeed we are.Although I am flying as a 737 captain for a flag carrier right now,I am willing to make that step...don't ask me why,please..

cheers

Bratko 19th December 2005 17:02

Dear L.E.,

I don't know who your mixing me up with but your personal attack is totally un called for!! I was mearly trying to get you to think outside the box, something you will certainly need on your future interview!!! I hope the 737 you are "commanding" is not from one of god awfull former commie outfits!!!!!! Not going to score you big points!!!! Anyhow good luck, and think ORANGE!!!

Bratko

Checkster 19th December 2005 17:09

LE,

Did you write flag carrier. I'm think'in maybe you meant to write Cheese-Flag carrier. Toot toot.

LeadingEdge 19th December 2005 18:40

OK,checkster, what is this all about, huh? You should know better,as you didn't pass your Air Canada interview and have to fumble around with ATR's now..and you should be happy as the company is actually the only one that was willing to employ you,I recall..

Oh bratko, what an old and disgruntled man you must be...Yes I am in command of a 737,but not working for any commie outfit,as you are.I am a proud pilot working for a proud flag carrier in central europe..That is obviously something you will never achieve, huh?:yuk:

Bratko 19th December 2005 18:54

L.E.

What dream land are you in? You are trying the politically correct garbage on the wrong person padnar!!! My boundries work like this when heading EAST, and I get handed off from Berlin, that will always be EASTERN Europe to me , you can kind of tell on the radio, but I guess thats just me. But you go on and be Central European and Proud, worked wonders at the E.U. Summit........ Anyhow study up on the Orange Culture, and good night from Bratko who is stuck behind the iron curtain!!!!!

Checkster 19th December 2005 19:16

My goodness LE, you are a bitter little Swiss man aren't you. I had no intention of scarring you. You must be very up tight. Or maybe it's those tighty whities you europeans wear. Unecessary stress on the nuggets is what those cause. I'm not kidding.

Anyway, I flew F L today and the overhead panel is very modern. I don't know why you put down the ATR like that. Shame on you.

MachineMan 19th December 2005 22:23

LE,

just a few friendly words of caution concerning the snow-melting mood you seem to be in right now: It might be advisable to somewhat adjust that attitude if you're really after this EZY job; there aren't too many Joes with your background living in BSL and you're running the risk of giving yourself a hard time before you even come close to starting the process as people on the inside might very well know who comes steaming their way here.

F L was lying to you.He told me hates the ATR and he even mentioned the awful cockpit layout to me the other day.But I think he is one of the few who got the NBU thing sorted out,so maybe he is allright, isnt he.

No comment on bratko this time.

Rick Binson 20th December 2005 05:24

Hey LE judging by your attitude we don't want you in easyjet.

Apply somewhere else - you attitude isn't correct for easyJet. :yuk:

Wizofoz 20th December 2005 07:41

They will at the interview!!

alexban 20th December 2005 08:36

LE with that attitude I hope you'll win the interview and stay in the RH for looong time. You are not fit for LH seat,my friend, and I have some doubts about that 'flag carrier' that put you there. Are there many like you?
And about that garbage with central,eastern...europe..read some history old boy. This is why the UE will have a hard time being put in 'operation' ,due to tight pants people like you,who think they are all above others.A way like some well known dictators, from that center europe, thought years ago..You know the moustache, don't you...

LeadingEdge 20th December 2005 14:10

And all this just because I asked about some info regarding EZY...what a mess...bratko and checkster, you guys will have to pay badly for that,I swear!
:E :E

No worries,I will answer all questions during the interview...

Hey LE judging by your attitude we don't want you in easyjet.
Sorry if you don't like my attitude.

Robert Vesco 20th December 2005 16:14

What happened LeadingEdge? Weren´t you invited back in 2003?

Who knows, maybe this time around EZY will be desperate enough to hire such a superior Swiss aviator like yourself! ;)

LeadingEdge 20th December 2005 18:10

What happened LeadingEdge? Weren´t you invited back in 2003?
No.I by that time I was a golden hands skilled aviator battling an ATR around some thunderstorms?:D

RHINO 21st December 2005 16:23

DE captains or not - any chance of a definitive answer?

Norman Stanley Fletcher 21st December 2005 16:53

I certainly hope not! This is one of the most contraversial issues within easyJet that has rightly been one of the root causes of great resentment within the company. It is very simple - as long as we have suitably qualified FOs to fill command vacancies we should not take DECs. Our union has been making representations to our management on this issue and there are at last signs that their voice is being heard.

If the looming industrial action actually takes place, there will be some heads rolling for allowing the dispute to go that far when it did not need to. This will be seen to be one of the key issues that led to the enormous loss of confidence in management that has occurred.

click 21st December 2005 19:58

Probably the worst thing you can do to the morale is have DEC.

led to the enormous loss of confidence in management
We had it happen here even though our contract forbade it. The mechanism was so stunningly simple that I think it warrants a note. A certain charter airline was about to go under and a lot of their fully qualified Captains applied to our glorius airline....Cheesy A, under one condition. They would go left seat only. The prospect of saving thousands on type ratings caused permanent erections in our management. (Can I say they stood up and took notice:E ? ) So, they hired these guys as FO's and immediately gave them a leave of absence. This placed them on the seniority list at the bottom. Lo and behold, three months down the road, the coveted selection process starts.....but wait a minute, seems that no one meets the criteria EXCEPT these new hires who have conveniently showed up on the seniority list without anyone knowing.........and I forgot to mention that they were hired on the spot without any 'selection process' which is standard procedure for new hires.

This would explain why LE is a little.....well...ahem... touchy......the company wants loyalty, showers everyone with propaganda in their monthly 'employee newsletter' and then completely screws us over in a flash. I was one of the ones in the group that LE was in. Took command on the ATR because the company assured me that there was no other way, everyone had to go through this and bada-bing bada-bang, spent years on the type before clawing my way back to the 737. The plane type is irrelevant, the scheduling and the financial rewards are markedly different on each type.

LeadingEdge 22nd December 2005 09:29

...and we should be happy we made it back to the jet, shouldn't we click...the door closed behind us with a loud noise...well we will see what happens next...rumours aren't good about the financial situation the company is in now...

But to clarify,EZY never mentioned something about DEC in their email they sent to me,and I never applied as a DEC there...looking for a RHS position, that is...

cheers and merry christmas

Checkster 22nd December 2005 11:36

Thanks for that click, absolutely correct. Worst thing is that these ex charter pilots walk around our crew rooms with their heads way up high. Dead legged (sp) with one guy the other day. Complete BABOON. Someone needs to give em a bit of "carry the bag" therapy..... Any ideas boys.

L.E.

Just to get back to you about my so called AC interview... Haven't had one yet pal. I'm in the so called holding pool too. Whatever that piece of verbal diarrhea means.

LeadingEdge 22nd December 2005 21:15

Howdy checkster, how's the climb sequence doing?
I know you are in the holding pool for Air Conditioning..ya told me that, didn't ya.
Well, finally it is going to work out for us one day...seems we have been here too long, haven't we..
Some of those guys that joined and have seniority 999 but are in fact check airmen(DE) seem to be allright, some are not(guess who)..well guess that is just life....but don't forget, some wise guy once said "..and there is always waiting and seeing"...
cheers and Merry christmas(which I will spend on a lovely all nighter to TLV).

Bratko 23rd December 2005 15:44

That great every one made up i'm feeling warm and fuzzy, how about a group hug. Just my two cents on the Direct entry guys we all got bent over where I work, like Checkster pointed out even direct entry to check airmen, thats PURE GARBAGE!!!! The only way to fight back for Checkster is dont EVER take a @#$% like that on your jump seat EVER, there will come a day when he needs your help and paybacks are a mother......... Then sit back relax and tell him to get his fat face out of your plane!!!!! Good luck to the Orange folks, don't bend over!!!!! I know been there it don't feel good!!! Bratko
