Hey everybody, Indigo Airlines (off course not owned by Tatas) has started recruiting pilots for its “brand new” Airbus fleet A320s. The following is the excerpt of the classified published in major newspapers.


Category 1 requirements: rated on the A320 family Captains: Pilots with an Indian AL TP, FRTO, COP/RTR, IR, valid medical clearance, and PIC rating on A320 aircraft. Minimum flying experience o! 3000 hours is required, of which 1500 hours must be on A320s, and 300 hours must be PIC on A320s. Check Pilots/instructors/Examiners will be treated ' as a separate category.
Senior Co-Pilots: Pilots with an,lndian AL TP" FRTO, COP/RTR, IR, valid medi~1 clearance, and rating on A320 aircraft. Minimum flying experience of 1500 hours is ~equired, with mandatory Co-Pilot experience of 500 hours on A320s.
. Co-Pilots: Pilots with an Indian CPL or higher category license, FRTO, COP/RTR, IR, valid medical clearance, and rating on
. A3'20 aircraft..

Category 2 requirements: rated on multi-engine Jets Captains: Pilots with an Indian ALT!=>, FR,TO, COP/RTB, IR, and valid medical clearance. Minimum flying experience of 3000 hours is’ required" of which PIC experience of 500 hours on, transport category rnulti-et1gine Jets, or 1000 hours on non transport category multi-engine Jets, is mandatory.
Co-Pilots: Pilots with an Indian CPL or higher category license, FRTO, COP/RTR, IR, and valid medical clearance.
Minimum flying
experience of 1000 hours is required, of which Co-Pilot experience of 250 hours oil-transport category multi-engine Jets is mandatory,

Category 3 requirements: .rated on multiengine Turbo-props Captains: Pilots with an Indian ALTP, FRTO, COP/RTR, IR, and valid medical clearance. Minimum flying experience of 5000 ,hours is required, of which PIC experience of 2000 hours on transport category multi-engine Turbo-props, or 2500 hours 011 non-transl?0rt category multi-engine Turbo-props, is mandatory. Where do they plan to get pilots with that kind of hrs? Oh may be they dreaming of the good old days when pilots were sitting at home in India.
