Not sure about south of England, but with the current Euro-Pound rate, and cheap RyanAir flights it might be worth your while considering the old Aer Lingus -200 in Dublin.
Have a look hereB737-200 Sim for booking information.
Runs for around €320 per hour (inc instructor) from memory.
Instructors available from Parc aviation, email a request to [email protected]

raspberry,

Not exactly in the south but there's one in Yorkshire - see http://www.yorkshireflightcentre.co....-simulator.php

I note your location as Lancashire, so it's just a hop over the Pennines, or a trip up the M1 if down south.

Hope this helps,

WB

Just be a bit wary of that Yorkshire simulator. They are careful to say that it is "based on" a 737, but that is quite different to it being a 737 simulator. Last time I saw it, it was a home-made cockpit on an old 3 DOF motion base... although it might have all the panels, most of the switches and controls didn't actually do anything, and I would be very surprised if the flight model they are using is anything like a 737... It might have been improved since then, but it is definitely not a 737 simulator in the proper sense of the words.

Hello Raspberry,

Thinking of joining the friendly Ryanair crew at STN then?!
