Is Pilot (Jet) Recruitment Slowing Down?
 

Flybe believes that they won't loose many more pilots because other Airlines have stopped recruiting. Is this true?

As a result the company was decided to take at least 4 days holiday from the troops in the form of wrap around days.

The company has threatened the Pilots once again if they vote against it they will have to work 6 days on followed by 2 days off.

The company thinks that the Pilots will have to accept it because there are no jobs elsewhere to go to and they won't want to work 6 on 2 off.

I thought alot of Airlines are taking on Pilots. Am I wrong?

Definately not, but airline recruitment is often seasonal and we're nearing the end of that season now.

How can FlyBE only be worried about losing crews? They have one or two new a/c on the horizon (!!) and need to fill them as well. Getting decent crews and then holding onto them isn't likely to that easy for any T/prop operator.

easyJet's requirement for next year is 250 pilots. No direct entry commands unless you are very special.
