Hy Guys,

possibly I have the chanece to go there....I would like to know lifestyle, rosters and, mainly, if it easy to commute to home...

Hi,
I dont work for them but we work closely with them and i dont hear positive things to be honest. Their HR manager was let go due to high turnover of staff and general unhappiness. I know of 1 capt who had to apply 14 months in advance to get his leave and that was only for leave in November! ( not exactly busy time).
All senior management i think aswell are ex-milatary!

I know 4 or 5 captains working there, none of whom can be said to be unhappy, and as some of these guys are ex-Swiss Int., that is quite something!!

Like ALL other airlines they have their problems, but alot of that is related to being based in Paris and handled by AF!!!

The fleet is getting on a bit so tech problems abound, but that is being addressed I believe.

I hear that the relatively high turnover of pilots is more due to people joining airlines with more modern types than anything else... there are alot more options available now than there were.

So, Liftman, from what I hear it is worth a look, depending on your personal needs. My mates work on a 6 on, 3 off, 5 on 2 off, 5 on 3 off, 6 on 2 off, type roster and it gives them ample opportunity to get home. I have not heard of any problems getting time off if necessary either.

So, hopefully that will give you a balanced view to Dingoxh's view. As always there are two sides to every story.

As I say I know 4 Captains very well (and 1 not so well). Being in ZRH where Cityjet have 4 rotations a day, I get to see them regularly, and as I say none are unhappy at all.

I also fly Cityjet reasonably regularly, and apart from some culinary nightmares, they have been perfectly suitable for me.

Just don't get me started on Swiss International tho'!!!!!
