Airbus job with no time on type

Looking at self funding a A320 type rating. I have considerable other light jet and turboprop time. Will I be able to land an Airbus job with the rating only but no time on type. Able to go to all four courners of the world for work.

Advice please.

Hi!

You may want to have a try at Vueling (Spanish low cost), although I think if you have the experience they want they pay the rating.

Maybe there's someone with more accurate information.

Mate of mine Aussie, got in Tiger, same as you...type, but no jet whatsoever, but loads of turboprop command

What about WIzzair.I think they have a self fund scheme.
Have you sorted a provider yet????

I know of some people that got into Monarch with a self funded type rating and no time on type.

Don't GECAT offer to fix you up with a short-term job if you do the type rating through them (and pass their selection)?

I do believe GECAT offer such a scheme and it clearly pays off if you put the work and effort in.

I hear that the new self funded guys joining Monarch are from Gecat.
