ATR Rated looking for first job!!

Can Someone please help me.

Was wondering does anyone know if and what airline who fly ATR`S are looking for F/O`s.

Recently Type Rated. Funded it myself.

I know what people are gonna say!!!

Had to do it!

Need to find my first flying job.

I have 300+ hours all of which are piston inc. 45 multi time on Be 76(Duchess).

Is it gonna happen for me.

Feelling very Disillusioned by the whole aviation thing.

Has been a tough 6-7 years, from when I started. I am so passionate about flying and planes etc...

Will I get the break?????

Good Luck with everything.

A good idea would be to try Air Wales, based at CWL. I believe they might be interested as there is a posibility the might be getting some new aircraft.

Best of luck

Give Ian Reece a call at Air Contractors. Good firm, great lifestyle.

You should try Aero Airlines, which is a regional feeder of Finnair operating 9 ATR72-201. They are established and partly owned by Finnair as well. They have hired A LOT new pilots during the past year and are constantly seeking more. Most of the hired are low hour F/Os who have just finished their ATPL and don't have type rating so you would have an advantage. Crew bases are at Tallinn, Helsinki and Tampere.

Good luck!

Air Deccan in India has a lot of ATRs 42s but will mostly be replaced by ATR72s soon.

They are looking out for FOs. But dont expect too much salary (they are "LCC").

Check with Jet Airways as well. They also have a few (8) ATR 72s. But as I understand the pay structure wasnt too great there either for ATR blokes viz a viz the 737 fleet and now a lot of them have hopped over to a couple of new startups who operate 737NGs or A320s.

Between the two Jet Airways to my knowlege is better by a mile, but as per current regulations foreign pilots cannot work for more than an year in India. This may change since India is now in domestic dergulation - Version II and among other problems there is a small thing called pilot shortage as well!

As above, Air Contractors. I heard of one or two recently getting into it onto the ATR after coming out of OATS.

Best of luck!

Solenta, based in Lanseria Johannesburg, operate ATR's for DHL in Africa.

Airforce1 3rd May 2005 13:26

If you have a bug for Africa, South African company Solenta Aviation always looking, half the crew these days are non-SA boys. Work involving with DHL in central and west africa, but if had a choice between Europe and Africa - would prob stay north.

If you don't mind low salary (around 2000Euros paid in Rupees) Air Mauritius will soon be desperate to find pilots. Although they currently required experienced crew for direct entry you can always try to apply. Check the African Aviation forum about MK.
Good luck and go to your PMs.

Hi

Problem is that Air Exel went bankrupt the 7th of April 2005. At least 50 pilots with a lot of hours on the ATR are now on the market. Same happened some time ago with Air Littoral....

Try Danish Air Transport at Kolding Vamdrup airport in Denmark. Build hours and move on. Congrats with your type rating and good luck. When I had to search for my first job - a bit of advice from me. Just because they turn you down at first - just keep in contact with them and make sure you talk with the same person every time. Also try Cimber Air at Sonderborg Airport in Denmark. Good job and conditions. Now several happy people there. Try Nordic forum for more info. Twin2040.
