Assessments ongoing at the moment!

Do MK employ ab-initio, low hour Wannabes? If not, this thread is in the wrong place.

MK

Mister Geezer, Thanks for that. Do you know if that will be the only assessment this month or next. What sort of background do those have that have been called and do new pilots start on the 8?

Don't know much about the recruitment process. I know someone who has an interview so it is second hand info. No indication whether recruits will go onto the '8' or the 747 Classic. They are taking JAA licences so MK will obviously provide the necessary Ghanaian GCAA conversion.

However the job market is picking up all the time and far better jobs are available!

I thought this was the thread for any type of flying job - regardless of experience levels! Don't know if MK take low hour bods but I doubt it.

No, Wannabes - Interviews, Jobs & Sponsorship isn't for all jobs. You'll note that it's in the Wannabes section - which is dedicated to those studying for their initial professional licence issue or looking for their first professional job.

The appropriate forum for jobs discussion for experienced guys is Terms & Endearments, which is where this topic is going...

Scroggs, just found this on MK's website ;

Pilots:
JAA ALTP or JAA "Frozen" ALTP with at least 500 hours multi crew experience. (Type ratings on either aircraft will ensure priority.) "DC 8 or B747 200'

Thanks for your info Mister Gezeer, Could you get your mate to impart some info re his experience ?

Also whay are they recruiting JAA licence holders, I would have thought they would go for ICAO holders. Does this mean they are trying to get a JAR AOC ?

Still looking for info if anyone can help, in any Forum !

Cheers

A JAR license is an ICAO recognized license!!! I think there is probably more chance of me winning the lottery than MK getting a AOC from a JAR country. That might kill their DC 8s!

I 'guess' that those who get called for interview will have far in excess of the 500 hrs multi crew time! That is pure guess work though!

As I said earlier, there are far better job our there - widen your horizons!
