China Air Pilot Pay

I have a interview with China Airlines and trying to find information on salary and benefits. What can I expect to make 1st year and so on. Also upgrade time to captain. Thank you.

When you arrive in TPE I suggest you go to "My other place " and talk to some expat pilots who will give you the real situation.
Several years ago CAL hired cruise capts on the 400 with the carrot of a command in two years. Guess what happened?
Suggest you do not work for asian operators as a f/o. You will end up a very twisted person if you do.

Depends on which operator. I flew as an FO on Borneo in the dawn of civilization (at least there), with Muslim captains that were true gentlemen, soft spoken with a very humble attitude, and for the most part excellent operators.

I suspect that in North East Asia the authoritarian captain style is more common, which might be a bit much to stomach.
