easyjet holding pool

Hi there!

Does anybody know anything about the current recruitment process at easyjet?

(Myself I`m in the holding pool for quite a while)

Thank you for any kind of information!

No movement until new base announcement other than current pilot attrition. At a pure guess the earliest is likely to be Feb/Mar '05.

Keep swimming!

A4 :)

dont hold your breath... ive only got 3 days flying this month...
A bit overcrewed pehaps? :oh:

Grease Weasel 10th December 2004 23:21

Crikey! How did you manage that?
Why have I just being taxiing around the UK to night-stop in STN if you guys are flying so little????

clearfortheoption 11th December 2004 06:47

Grease

I think Autofsynch is on the 319 LGW .....not much flying this days for them ...and you must be on the Boeing somewhere else covering for the STN pilots converting to 319......just a guess...

As for the original question the next course for external should be at the end of Feb.

Take care,

CFTO

PPPmember - are you sure itīs not just loose rumours...???

Easy has just in this past week withdrawn themselves from both NCL-CPH og BRS-CPH due to the high cost level at Copenhagen airport.

The problem is a speciel danish tax of 75 danish kroner (around 7Ģ) for all departing passengers - but it seems that the danish Government is now ready to remove this tax gradually during the next 3-4 years, because itīs a problem in the intension of attracting low-cost carriers to the airport.

Anyway it would be interessting for us locals with an Easy Base here in Copenhagen – hope to hear further about this if you hear anything!

Hello again,

I heard there are assesment days again in Luton?

Anybody knows more about the employment situation, why are more people screened if there are still at least some in the holding pool?

Any ideas?

EAM 12th January 2005 19:21

@ Firm Touchdown,

I didnt take it, swiming in the pool was to long, catched an other ship.

Seems they have enough in the pool, you cant apply anymore, a friend of mine tried in the last few days, but you can just fill in the first page.

Well, as far as CPH goes as a base for easy I don't think it's gonna happen for a loooong time... As stated, easy have pulled a few lines to CPH (maight be because of other end of lines, not sure), but CPH is expensive to operate from and it seems like CPH is not really interested in the low-cost sector.... There are some strong forces (SAS!!) working quite hard against the low-cost operators entering the Scandi market...pushing the Danish and Swedish CAA (LFV)... That's what I think anyway... I think if easy came in to CPH this would create huge problems for SAS...
Next base will be somewhere in eastern europe if you ask me.... Budapest, Prague????
Good luck to all!!

Heard from a friend that the holding pool is almost dry again, so expect some more recruiting in the near future.

New base: BSL (Basel) would be my best guess... ;)

Holding pool? I know a couple of people that have been interviewed a month ago and have courses planned in May and June.

They have had no wait to get confermation about their type course.

Doug the Head 14th January 2005 10:07

Dogma,

Just curious, have they been alocated to a base already?
