New airline in Cyprus
 

A new airline named Freedom airways with Gee Bee air as partner should start flying, with L-1011-200F, out of Larnaca very soon.
They lease an ex-Lanta freighter.
But be very carefull, this company does not pay; we did the ferry flight on November 1th and we are still waiting to be paid, they promess the money was send, but nothing and now they avoid to answer our calls.

They are looking for crew and promess 5000€ for Capt and 3000€ for F/O and F/E + 50€ overnight, you have to pay your accomodation in Nicosia.
The routing is very fantasy: Ostend - larnaca - Delhi - Chang hai and return.............................
Just be careful, do not listen to them,they have alot of nice words and dreams.

That should make it cheaper then. All that will be needed is an old banger to get to Larnaca in.

They want the crew to live in Nicosia, come to the ( empty) office take the flight docs, then drive to Larnaca to fly:hmm:

Gee Bee wannabes be careful. The company's AOC has been suspended by Greek CAA since last May, if I remember well. Numerous attempts have been made by the management to restore it but in vain. They could not satisfy even the basics required by JARs. So, now they are trying to get an AOC by the CAA of Cyprus . Watch out. The owner of this so called "company" is well known in Athens for his tricks and has been convicted many times for not paying his emploees in the past. :* :* :*

Considering the mentioned routing, this aircraft will be used by
a Cypriotic company named FOS Logistics. (www.foslogistics.com)

They arrived in Belgium in May , saying they would change the
aircargo business forever.

However they would fly this routing Ostende - Cyprus - Delhi- Shanghai
as from September 04....

First plan was a 747-400, consequently 747-200, MD -11, DC-10,
Airbus 600, DC8 to finally decide for L-1011 from Gee Bee.

European air cargo brokers already see the whole project as worthless

Do these Cypriots really think that the Chinese will wait 1 year for their
flight to come ??? Poor kids... their website so far was their biggest cost,
they have VIRTUALLY TAKEN OFF..... BUT ONLY VIRTUALLY

And they have a 15-year old rusty ( ex-reefer) trailer in their colours,
where even Polish or Lituanian hauliers do not want to use anymore.

Maybe Santa Claus will bring their real take off... or will give them another
toy to play with.
