Hello everybody,

Just to clarify some points I red on the forum:

1- the “real” salaries are:

Cpt: around 4500 € net all inc.
f/o : around 2500 € net all inc.

The basic salary is very very low (the lowest on the market for sure !), meaning that if you fly you can survive but if you're on holiday you will have to stay at home counting your money!
In fact, Vueling is paying only 5 % taxes assuring you it is sufficient (no comment).
But after taking info from SEPLA (Spanish pilot association) it seems that you will have to pay at least 20 to 25 % of taxes, meaning that every Vueling pilot will have a "great" surprise at the end of the year...

2- the working pattern:

At the interview, they will tell you that you‘ll work 5 days on followed by 4 days off or, depend of your interviewer, 8 days on, followed by 6 days off.
But at the moment, pilots are working 4 days on, one blank, couple of days off, 8 days on, ... Absolutly no standard!!!
Oh yes, before I forget, your roster will change approximately every week...

3- the selection process:

Depend of the day, you will speak with H.H.R., or/and DO, or/and Fleet manager (200 hours Airbus), or/and CEO, or/and secretary, there again absolutely no standard!

The last point I would like to clarify is that the life in Barcelona is very expensive and so you will be most probably obliged to share an apartment to live there, in regard to your salary.

I hope I clarified the situation by saying that all Vueling pilots are not that crazy but are just waiting for them 500 hours on type and for the summer’s contracts.

Do FO´s get the chance to upgrade to the left seat??:confused:

Apparantly the CEO sent an letter stating black on white that Vueling pilots will fly 85 to 95 hrs in 28 days.
From February on the roster will be 5 On 2 Off. (4 flying 1 stby) Who doesn't like it is invited to leave the company.
6 Pilots at the same time gave their resignation.
Parc is recruiting pilots for a 3 months contract.
This is the real sad story about Vueling. Max hrs, Max sectors, Min days off, Min pay (and only when you fly, no pay when on holiday or sick leave)

The Parc contract isnt that bad, at least it looks much better than the vuelling contract and for just 3 month it could be worth a try.:cool:
