Dragonair Cargo Manchester

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knew anything about the UK based division of Dragon Freight.

For example, all the usual questions regarding salary, rosters, time to command, and overall moral etc etc

I have sent them an application, however I imagine i'd be at the bottom of a very long list! Not sure how my experience will compete against the others,I have a touch over 4000TT,with about 500 or so on 737's.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

:ok:

Hoping that one of those guys visits PPRUNE!!

Happy landings!

Typed, qualified and current: over 10,000 hours. Applied twice and never even got a reply...? Must be a brotherhood thing.

Still recruiting for the 743 based in Manchester, FO's that is, no direct entrant Capt's as far as I'm aware. Pay's good, rostering is black and white, you do leave and come back as per the roster. Once away from MAN stay flexible.

Upper deck's comfy, just as well because you spend some time positioning.

Good prospects, good company, nothing's perfect.

Maxburner,

What are the duties out of Manchester like, how long away from base? days off per month etc?

Heard a rumour that you route MAN-AMS-Dubai-Hong Kong.

same happened with me, applied and updated but no response. Have 744 type rating and ten thousand plus hours.

How do you apply? Couldn't see anything on the website. Does anyone have an address to send a CV to or any other information?

Some answers:

E-mail CVs to [email protected]

They have a huge amount of CVs in. They do say on the web site if you haven't heard in 6 weeks, assume your application was unsuccessful.

A 744 rating may not give you priority - they operate Classics.

If you don't get a reply try again, make it clear that Dragonair is your No1 choice. I think they only look at the top few applications until they have enough candidates for the next interview date and then bin the rest to keep the office tidy.
If you have a mate there then get him to go see Ann or Doris and drag your CV to the top.
Scottie the rumour is true! Routes are MAN,AMS,DXB,HKG. Also PVG,XMN,TPE,KIX from HKG.
