Oniva Who???
 

Recently saw an advert for ATR pilots in Flight International flying for a company in SE England called ONIVA. Tried to find out about this company but got absolutely no-where. Any of you fine people heard of ONIVA? or was it my imagination dreaming up job ops!!:confused:

It's a new start, so there will be very few details around at the moment.

cruiseczechs, can you say what you found out about this new airline? I believe non-rated applicants have to fund their own type rating, even for Captains?

Anything would be helpful, ta.

I've got an interview this afternoon, 22/08/03 with Oniva at Heathrow, I'll post any details which I learn either latter today or tomorrow.

UK domestic using ATRs for the sort of routes that are too small and uneconomic for the 737 crowd. Not interested in the ex-buzz French routes as suggested on another thread. All the senior team appear to have good airline management background and histories

Individual presentation on the company, then an informal and relaxed interview with 2 management pilots.

Oniva is merely a temporary name - probably a £100 off the shelf limited company. The real name will be released when it all goes public.

Good luck to them. They appear to be alot better organised than NOW (or IF or whatever it will turn out to be!)

So who bets it'll be called "Let's go!" or "C'mon!"

Clearly french routes are out with a name like that, n'est-ce pas?

cruiseczechs, why have you deleted your post? not having a go, just wanting information about the set up with this new airline. ie is it true you must purchase a type rating? If you went to the interview please post here or private message/e-mail me with the info.

There must be others who have been to the interview?

Turbo Rick, sorry for lack of info plus deletion of my previous post but sworn to secrecy at the interview pending an announcement by the company within the next few months.
