EasyJet advertising banner on pprune
"Stability in a Dynamic Enviroment"....?Danny, this advert is misleading to the pilot workforce. Can we have it removed. As an EasyJet pilot, I find it insulting to think that fellow professional pilots might be misled into joining the worst airline in Europe. I am sure fellow easyjet pilots will echo my sentiments.

I'm severely pissed of this company full of so much bull it's not true-"an open environment"?- they have they're heads so far up their own backsides.
Can you imagine how much worse things are going to be in the summer again.Forget the false lull of the winter break - thats almost over-just remember last summer-this summer will be worse. |
Maybe the advert knows something we don't? A good deal just around the corner?!

I completely agree!!! my heart really does go out to those poor easyjet pilots!!!! and whats more the pax!!!! Is there an EZY pilot out there that will support the airline???? I think not!!!!!

Lose the advert, it is misleading, E.J pilot`s in dispute with management and they call it stable and dynamic. The T`s & C`s negotiations have been going for nearly a year and still no sign of a solution.

Back to the thread. Stability is a joke. Managers won't challenge CAP 371 even if they agree that rostering practice is unsafe. The advert should be blocked:mad:

Ive just watched the "airline" program last week of an "easy" xmas or not! and the LPL base captain refered to the easy pilots as "busdrivers" and im not talking about your trade-ins for new peugeots either. How many bus drivers do you know payed up to 60k to drive a bus! This came from the person that "wanted to give the public a better view of pilots as a previous series had degraded them" Nice job,NOT Rgds K.I.L. ;) |
I expect that in order to keep Uncle Danny in enough biscuits to keep PPRuNe free to all us users, he has to accept every bit of advertising he can lay his hands on. Of course this does not mean that we are prevented from posting rumours which may be contradictory to the "information" contained in the adverts - despite the fact that some advertisers may not like it.

Remember that the revenue from the advert you want to cull helps to provide you with a public forum to air your views which would otherwise go unnoticed except to be misrepresented in the press.
More seriously, perhaps you should understand that I have a contract with easyJet to host their banner. If you feel that the message represents false advertising then I suggest you start the appropriate proceedings and argue the fact in court. If you can present me with a court order to remove what you alledge is false advertising then I will comply. In the meantime I will continue to honour my contract and you can continue to air your views on a public forum dedicated to your profession. |
No payrise for the past 12 months - sounds reasonably stable to me.

..."stable...dynamic..." ... I have just worked 9 days with one day off in the middle (!) ... I wasn't very 'dynamic' after that (and not much fun to fly with either!!) - anyway...looking forward to the summer..(NOT).:p

Sorry about rehashing this subject (probably many posts already related to this subject), but what is causing the scheduling problems from the pilots' point of view? This is not a rhetorical question. Seriously, which of the following MOST contributes to the problem:
1. poor scheduling department/management - inept... 2. lack of pilots 3. management's thirst for control - (e.g., Lorenzo at Continental) Easyjet claims to be a Southwest clone. But you NEVER see discontent like this at Southwest - most Southwest pilots LOVE their job and are public advocates for Southwest. Why not adopt GO's scheduling system - or would that be too expensive? At least you have flying jobs (with new A319s on the way...). Any logical (non-emotional) answers out there? Good luck to all! |
