UK issued EASA licence

I've seen a few British airlines requiring a "UK issued EASA flight crew licence" now.

Am I being thick because I really don't understand what this means? The UK is no longer an EASA member so how can you possibly hold an EASA licence issued in the UK?

Yes. They are asking for a CAA license which is nothing to do with EASA.

I'm pretty sure you've misread, they are simply asking for BOTH licenses.

Nope. They definitely state a "UK issued EASA licence".

Obviously I understand Ryanair requiring such being an EU registered airline but why would a UK based airline on the G register need you to hold an EASA licence?

My apologies. I've just seen in my opening post I omitted the word EASA so it wouldn't make much sense.

Then it must be a typo on their part, there's no such thing as a UK issued EASA licence..

Well exactly. Or they just haven't updated their website since the UK withdrawal from the EU.
