Anyone Knows How to Convert unfrozen ATPL from ASIA to EASA?
 
Hello guys,

I want to know how to convert an unfrozen ATPL license from Asia (Bangladesh) to EASA.

Would be grateful if anyone could provide me with a step by step guide. This is for someone who has been working in Bangladesh as an airline pilot for many years and wants to move to Europe.

I'm sorry but I must ask, do you have the right to work in Europe? Also isn't an "unfrozen" ATPL just an ATPL?

Prune already has many threads outlining how to convert ICAO to EASA. Unless you have a very specific question I doubt anyone is going to list the whole process for you. It has been done on here literally hundreds of times already.

Affirm, the license holder has right to work in Europe.

Would you be able to provide me with a link to a forum that shows the whole conversion process please?

There is no conversion process. Your friend will have to obtain a license from scratch ie do all 13 EASA exams followed by an initial medical and flight test in the state of license.

At best, with the right experience, he can apply for training exempt status which allows him to just arrive and write exams without the need for formal ground school(some 650 hours). Same for skills test - just arrive and do a skills test without any ATO involvement.To find the experience requirements go to the website of his target country and they should have a process for applying for training exempt status. I speak under correction, but I think he needs to have a full ATPL(and it needs to be valid with a medical), so if he hasn't done the skills test in Bangladesh then he needs to sort that out first.

I may have not understood the OP correctly, but a ‘Frozen’ ATPL does not become a full ATPL automatically at 1500 hours. Firstly, 500 hours need to be recognised multi-crew flying and secondly, the LPC at that time needs a few extra test items and sign off by the examiner. (Nothing too daunting.)
