Licence transfer SOLI form (SRG1202)

Like many of us, I am also transferring my licence out of the UK. Apparently I have to fill in this SRG1202.

Can anybody please confirm that I am only expected to fill out page no. 2? Page 1 appears to be just instructions and page 3 is to be filled out by the CAA's medical section, correct?

Also, what does one put in items 1 and 2 of page 2? It says "State of transfer TO: Address:" and "State of transfer FROM: Address:" respectively. Is that the full postal address of the respective CAAs or just their name?

I appreciate any responses. Ordinarily I would just call the CAA but it is difficult to get through these days, and they're not very good at answering emails either.

I actually did just that. If you are transferring FROM the UK then just page two will suffice from the SOLI form (SRG1202). Indeed just put in the details of your new and old CAA’s in the respective fields.

You can email that to [email protected] and request an acknowledgement so you can phone them up for the payment details. It can speed the process up a bit for you.

Do not forget to fill in the Part-FCL license transfer form and send it in with a copy of your certified license if it has been filled in by examiners, or just a copy of the license if it has had no changes since it last was issued by the CAA licensing officer. You send that e-mail off to [email protected] and ask for acknowledgement so you can phone them for payment.

Turn around times are long so if you would like to avoid problems get on this as soon as you can. They are pretty helpful on the telephone as well and you get through pretty quickly if you phone them in the morning.

Good luck!

drfaust,
On page 3 there's a Verification section which looks like it must be signed and stamped by your AME along with copies of medical records.
How long has it been since you forwarded your application? Have they been back to you requesting those page 3 details?

Cheers

As I read it (but I have no idea, that's why I asked!), page 3 is completed by a CAA medical assessor, i.e. someone at the aeromedical section, not an AME. It seems that they essentially collect all your various records and put them in an envelope along with your SRG1202 and post the lot to the medical guy at the receiving authority. Again, this is pure speculation on my part but I'll let you know if they say otherwise.

I think you have it right, except, they told me the records would be sent electronically, as opposed to snail-mail.
