Getting into EI is purely on the ability of the candidate to pass the entry tests. There is no fast track from any airline into AL. Don't go into Stobart on the false assumption that you will get into AL. Also bear in mind that the regional contract is up for renewal and there is no guarantee that Stobart will necessarily get the work. There are a number of other airlines competing for the tender.

Great to work for stable roster pattern 5/2 5/3.

There is internal applications ongoing for the EMB fleet and it would appear to be quite straight forward to move across.

We have seen around 25 go into EI - so yes getting into EI isn't an issue.

What happens when the flybe gig finishes up next March? Although some expect it to continue. Its making money and no issues, unlike a lot of flybe flights.

If you are doing 550-600 a year does that put you at command level in 3-4 years?

Airborne,

Thats the big question as to what happens next. As it stands Flybe plan to be opening the base here and are recruiting for it (Not me - rejected!) For all of us here on the IOM, we have options to remain with STK or be made redundant. There is no agreement between the parties in respect of TUPE.

Soon as you have 2000hrs you are eligible for command and can undergo the assessments and pre command training.

Assessment

Does any body have any feedback on the assessment, what gets asked hr/tech? Is the sim in an atr at simtech or one of the 737’s

feedback would be greatly appreciated 👍🏼

Sim is on 737.

Anyone with a feedback? About question and sim?

At what training facility and where do they conduct the type rating for the Embraer 190?

M-JCS 28th Oct 2018 11:13

ATR 500 / 600

I know STK fly both the ATR 500 and 600 types. Do they maintain different pilot pools for each type? How much type difference training is involved to qualify on both types?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but why would you do a simcheck in a 737 for a job on an ATR?

To check basic flying skills you don't need the type specific sim...

I’m coming from a pure basic only package in bizjets with 2600TT and have a telephone interview on Friday for NTR EJet (apparently with some sort of fast track to upgrade).

Is Stobart a happy place to work, what’s the take home like in the RHS and LHS and how promptly could command upgrade be possible?

Thanks!

Would anyone be able to give me a rough idea of net pay for a Captain on the ATR in Irish bases?

I'm also wondering how the commuting contracts work? On the 6/2 or 2/2 roster is the roster pattern also 5/2 5/3?

You have to hand it to their marketing team! Nice little video about life in STK.

Globally challenged how did you get on?

Globally Challenged 8th Feb 2019 06:40

I spoke to them on the phone - fairly informal chat with HR lady and an Ops or Pilot Manager.

I was invited to an assessment but declined having been offered a job earlier that day.

markpodbery 10th Feb 2019 07:42

Oh right ok did they ask you anything specific? Well done on the other job I am wanting a move out of corporate if I can.
