EasyJet pay/basing
Hey guys,
Easyjet are giving very little info so i thought I'd enquire here, there is another thread running elsewhere but it's got a different direction and doesn't really relate to what I'm looking to find out. Before asking for a full breakdown, this was posted two years ago of the pay from someone coming out of the easyjet MPL, can someone who knows about it please confirm or deny if this pay breakdown is accurate: YEAR BA easyJet Deficit 1 45,425 38,750 6,675 2 50,704 38,000 19,379 3 55,982 57,006 18,355 4 63,372 70,396 11,331 5 69,707 70,396 10,642 6 72,874 70,396 13,119 7 75,513 70,396 18,236 8 65,842 70,396 13,682 9 68,171 121,005 -39,152 10 70,500 121,005 -89,656 11 72,830 121,005 -137,832 12 75,159 121,005 -183,678 13 77,488 121,005 -227,195 14 79,817 125,696 -273,074 15 82,146 125,696 -316,624 16 84,475 125,696 -357,845 17 86,805 125,696 -396,737 18 89,134 125,696 -433,299 19 131,035 125,696 -427,961 20 133,590 125,696 -420,067 21 136,146 125,696 -409,617 22 138,701 125,696 -396,612 23 141,256 125,696 -381,052 24 143,812 125,696 -362,936 25 146,367 125,696 -342,265 26 148,923 125,696 -319,039 27 151,478 125,696 -293,256 28 154,034 125,696 -264,919 29 156,589 125,696 -234,026 30 159,145 125,696 -200,578 For easyJet I assume 600 sectors per year (ie 150 working days, 4 sectors per day) I include the current loyalty bonuses for easyJet ie 5, 10, 15 salary. My other query relates to basing and rostering. The base that suits me most (living in Dublin) is Belfast. Is it entirely absurd of me to consider commuting? Do EZY have a 5 on, 3 off policy somewhat reflecting the Ryanair roster pattern or is this not the case at all? I'm told that at the start, I should not expect to be in the UK and to consider myself extremely lucky if so. However around year 2 I believe you can request to change base, how likely is it to get a Belfast base? Is this nigh on impossible during the first years? Any other info would really be very helpful, as EZY are not releasing a whole lot of info other than what we have to pay. Thanks for any help :) |
transfer listing for BFS is very long, and unlikely to move quickly now that FR have opened their base there...

The BA one isn't accurate. A short haul command is not at year 19 either at present. People with the requisite hours were getting them within two years of joining last year.
There's more to it than just pay as well, basing, commuting, roster pattern, career choice (LH/SH) etc are both different. |
BFS list isn't long for FO's but for Captains its easily a 10+ year wait. In fact it's so long I hear many of the FOs are turning down commands now, resigned to life in the RHS but at home.

EZY command is more realistically 5-6 years, not 9-10.
121k is about right, however for a skipper. |
Is it true that two different CLAs exist for the german bases? A bette one for SXF and a newly negotiated worse one for HAM?
|
There are about 999 different contracts in Ezy. Through time conditions have got worse. Pay for new CPT after 5 years as FO is about 115-120. Take into account that due to the roster and low cost model, you will be forced to go part time or take unpaid leave so your pay will eventually decrease. Plus you will have to put a lot more into your pension compared to the better BA pension
