What about Fly Dubai?
I think they hire pilots without jet experience. |
Probably won't help you, but here goes.
Do you have the right to work in the United States? Do you have a minimum of 1500 hours in turbine powered airplanes, or 2500 hours total time in airplanes. Do you have a minimum of 1000 hours of PIC time in turbine powered airplanes. If so, go to Southwest.com Hiring window just opened, looking for 250 pilots starting this summer. |
Probably won't help you Hiring window just opened, looking for 250 pilots starting this summer American regional airlines produce experienced and qualified pilots en mass to move into legacy slots. Nice to see it finally once again happening the way it used to. SWA will have absolutely no problem attracting an overwhelming number of local and appropriately qualified candidates to fill only 250 openings. Note: one doesn't need the 737 rating to interview although it has to be acquired prior to employment. |
thanks,
worth trying anyway |

Hi guys, I am pretty new to pprune. I have about 1000 hrs on a B737 and am looking for a change of place. Probably in the Asian countries, am currently flying as a FO in a private airlines in Africa. Kindly advise
|
1000 hrs on type, if you have a degree and EASA licence you could try Turkey as an FO if you are under 32 years old. The other chap with no hours would really be considered as "non-typed" as a rating without hours is not much use these days. At 34 the thread starter is too old for an FO position in Turkey ( exception ex Turkish Military ). All metro liner time is not regarded as suitable in many companies. Best bet I would have thought is apply as a non-rated to some companies in Europe and take a chance, NAS for instance..always looking for 737 FOs and also Ryanair , the rating is not completely wasted as you may be ahead of the learning curve, but in real terms they would consider you as non-typed and a bond or stump up of cash would be needed practically everywhere.

So my question is, where are the airlines getting their B737 F/O's from |
mohammedRR try this https://www.allflyingjobs.com/pilot-...iews_fulltext=
as you can see there are some interesting opportunities to upgrade to widebody but many fo jobs in asia are for A320. Strange lion air doesn't show on that search. |
In Turkish you can join as FO after 32
