Recently I was offered an interview oportunity for Porto base with EZY and was trying to find some info in theforums butmost of the stuffi come across I dated.
Is there anyone based in Portugal who could help outwith the following:
What does a typical roster looks like in terms of sectors per day, montly flying hours, days off a month? Im also interested in ow muxh taxes you end up paying and where( Portugal, Ireland, somwhere else)
How is the balance for work and life in Portugal?
when can you request you bese to be changed?
Anyone who knows how the DEC interview is conducted?

Hey, I also applied for an FO position in Portugal, passed the first 3 stages and I'm waiting for an interview invitation, last email i've received was the in October saying that they'll notify me once have dates for assessments. Do you know if they've called anybody up to know?

I have been there about 5 years ago (DEC, worked there for 3 years), so it might be a bit different today.
First day was group exercises (2) followed by an interview. Interview was competency based, so you might want to prepare for that.
Second day was SIM. For DEC you get an easyJet FO. He will follow orders but not show any initiative.
For me it was some raw data flying with raw data ILS. I dont really remember details, but nothing spectacular.
Second part was a LOFT style exercise. In my case departure from Gattwick, some minor malfunction in the climb out.
Then a hydraulic leak with winter weather at destination. I decided to return to Gattwick.
Bur other guys had different scenarios...
Some advice: They love communication. Make a thorough DODAR/FORDEC and a good approach briefing.
If you have several options, choose the safest option and they will be happy ;)
Third part was a online personality test, followed by an interiew about the test.

Actually, I could choose between "ONE" date. I should receive more information shortly before that date. So, for now, I do not really know much... I'll let you know.

I was made redundant during Covid. Was based in Berlin.
The german contract is really good.
But keep in mind: All the talk about "one team" "in it together" is just talk.
When the S.. hits the fan they are no better than the irish competition.

FRV roster (flexible roster, no fixed pattern), which makes commuting life almost impossible.

132 Days OFF per year guaranteed. .5/4 pattern subject to availability but you have to pay for it.

Base freeze 2 years for DEC, and 3 years for non-type rated DEC :bored: High turn-over.

Mostly upgraders are "offered" Portugal or those fired from exBER, or cadets. Historically it has been always verty difficult to recruit those Portuguese bases as other EZY bases in the north of the peninsula offer much better T&C, e.g. pension schemes, and social security.

Be aware that some Portuguese contracts are only for seasonal (summer) flying.

The tax depends on personal circumstances. Very high unless eligible for a special tax regime.

Some inaccurate (old) information here.

5/4 with no reserve months available for everyone asking for it, no limits. Not available only in fao, the only seasonal base. 8% salary sacrifice for it, compared to fully random roster.

LIS and OPO are by default on frv with 138 days off minimum (in reality much more).
Average flying between 600/700 hours per year on full time contracts.

Base freeze was removed years ago, only applicable for non rated DEC and FOs to whom easyJet pays the rating. 2 years. Normal transfer protocol applies for the rest.

State pension very good, together with France the best in europe. Till it lasts.

Taxes very high unless you transfer residence in portugal.

Aside from giving details about the contracts Portugal, has anybody else been called by Easy for an interview? Since the last email I've received about being successful on the 3rd stage, I haven't heard anything else from them...
