Best Company to work for? (your dream job!)

Just for a change, lets talk about something positive?
Lets not concentrate on how "hard" or "impossible" it to get job. How some pilots pay4work etc.

If you could pick a company to work for/attend interview, which one would it be and why?:ok:

Luke SkyToddler 14th Dec 2012 14:04

Goldman Sachs, because I'd be stupidly rich and have nothing whatever to do with aviation :ok:

saqademus 14th Dec 2012 14:24

trust me, you dont want to work for goldman sachs.

My brother left there last summer. Its borderline slave labour. It also has the most cut throat comany attitude in the whole city

This isnt quite on par with what the thread is about, however on a positive note, I must add these comments.

I spent 5 fantastic years in Bmi, and in May of this year experienced the Bmi to BA transition course as a result of the IAG buy out. As great as Bmi was in terms of a place to work, the welcome we have received at BA has been outstanding. The transition was hard work, but smooth, and have spent the last 6 months really enjoying working for Airways, and enjoying the benefits.

I fully appreciate the hardship involved with getting in to BA for experienced pilots and cadets, but once you are in, its a great place to be and I feel very lucky.

All the best guy/girls. :ok:

Dream job = Nothing to do with "effective tax rates", legislation, spreadsheets, structure charts, meetings, blah blah blah. Nothing to do with all nighters in the office, backstabbing colleagues, clients, billing, etc.

A job that allows me to indulge my passion for flying rather than just dreaming about it on another gloomy London day.

An office with a better view. :ok:

Qantas, no matter which fleet. I'm Italian therefore I'm stucked in Europe until I fall in love with an Aussie girl... :rolleyes: Not gonna happen!:}

cefey 15th Dec 2012 20:03

I love Qantas safety record!
But Lufthansa have better wage :D

RedBullGaveMeWings 15th Dec 2012 20:44

But quality of life is -IMHO- better in Down Under and wages aren't that bad, probably even higher. Anyway, it's not about money, but I am just in love with that country...

cefey 15th Dec 2012 22:11

What company have best benefits for their pilots, except for the wage?

FANS 20th Dec 2012 21:17

Don't know what working at GS has to do with this...

Got to be BOAC.

In today's world, th answer is always another airline!

ManUtd1999 20th Dec 2012 21:44

In today's market - one of the bush operators in Africa. Stunning views, 'real' flying, overnights at some of the worlds best game reserves, it's perfect......

Failing that BA will do nicely.

cefey 20th Dec 2012 21:53

Its quite hard to pay back to the banks and support family with bush-flying in Africa. But everyone is at different situation, so Im sure for many people it is a dream job!

EZY_FR 20th Dec 2012 22:10

British Airways, hence why I want to get into FPP so badly!

ZuluZuluAlpha 21st Dec 2012 19:57
