I can't find anything about Titan on here!

Please could you all fill me in on any information on the company like rosters/standbys, training, aircraft you are trained on etc would be really useful!

Do you know what the rosters are like by any chance? I know they do sports charters which must be planned some time in advance, but you mention covering last minute tech problems, how does this tend to work? Lots of standbys/nightstops? What happens with the catering etc, do Titan have their own or do they use BA/EZY's catering and the crew just have to make it up as they go along sort of thing?

The MOD use them for the Falklands..Don't they.

Might I suggest you got to their website , I'm sure they will have detail of the types they operate....

Titan specialise in quick response ad-hoc charters and advertise that their aircraft can be airborne in an hour (?) of call out......I think you have to live within 200 yards of their aircraft or some such...!

...it's 30 minutes stand-by. It's tight, but it's part of their USP and if you can live with it, along with many other things, makes them an excellent company to work for.

Titan Pilot Hiring & QOL Update?
 

Just noticed that Titan will be adding the A320 to their adhoc charter fleet in May:

Airbus A320-233

Additionally, they seem to be operating more 757s (3?) and now a 767-300. I still remember when they primarily operated Bae146s (they still operate a few).

So, with new aircraft coming on board, what does pilot hiring look like at Titan? Understanding it is adhoc charter, what does the typical monthly schedule look like (are there set days off or do you need to be very flexible)? Would newhires start on a new fleet addition (i.e., new A320 requires A320-typed pilots to be hired on directly to that fleet type) or would internals be given the chance to move over so that newhires begin on the vacated 146s as pilots move to other fleet types?

Titan is a very unusual airline and won't suit everyone, first you need to live close by, very close by, you have to be able to report to either Hangar 7 or Enterprise house within 30 minutes of being called out.

You will probably do no more than 250- 300 hours a year, most of which will be between June -August so lots of standbys 8-10 hours at a time and you've got to be within 30 min, most flying is very short notice stuff for other airlines.

The office staff are very professional and the head office is very impressive, if your used to working for an airline with proper rostering protocols be warned your in for a shock.

One of my many lousy career decisions, was turning down an interview at Titan about 15 years ago.
