Hello everybody.
is there anyone who passed all stages of interview and waiting for a call from company? This is my case now. I am ewait for 4 month already and still answer from HR is that there is no exact date of starting. So I don't know whether it is a normal practice for a company or there is something wrong with my case. |

I was told they're completing the recruitment over the next month or two, and then all the succesfuld candidates will be paired and get a starting date. So don't expect to hear anything until they've finished all the interviews going on at the moment. |

Interpersonal Testing in HAM for SunExpress/Eurowings
Gentleman, anyone please could supply information on how the "Basic Qualification" is held in HAM for SunExpress Germany/Eurowings (ready entry Captains and FOs)? Which tests etc. and any vital information is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Dont worry too much about the assasment.
These guys desperately need pilots (FO). Soo many, left or are trying to leave this place. Many even paid ten thousands of € for contract fines to cancel the bonding and leave the company earlier. Their roster hell and the pay is not worth it anymore since everybody in turkey pays more. To get the required manpower they keep the assasement just as hard enough to keep out the special pilots. The biggest struggle for most is usually lack of English skills. My assasement was already some time ago, but it didnt changed that much. Non Type rated FO Assasement is quite straightforward. Just prepare for mollymawk and refresh basic aviation knowledge. Interview has more focus on your character than on technical questions. If you don't know the answer tell them that you dont know it and tell them where you would find the answer. Dont lie or make a show they will find it out. Usually there is a german lady (former DLR psychologist) somebody important from HR and a pilot there. everybody asks you questions, they might try to stress you with irregularities or weaknesses in your cv or test results to see how you react on stress. But they're fair and professional. Sim is exactly as in the pdf they give you. Before the sim, they do a briefing and tell you what they want to see from you. When I joined it was a straight out departure, climb 2000 turn left to VOR and itcpt radial xxx. thereafter some steep turns, climbs descents with acceleration deceleration, followed by an ILS fd off (you were allowed to use FPV and Map mode). If youre non type rated they dont require you to know anything 737 specific... just request the gear and the flaps. My advice, go to pgs or thy if you can, they will also squeeze you like a lemon, but at least they pay properly. Or Join and get the required experience for other airlines and leave that place ASAP. Good Luck PS: If you and your fellow crewmember are able to keep your eyes open you can do as many handflying, visual and raw datas as you wish. You fly to many anatolian places which are mainly cavoc in summer with little traffic and no radar where you can have a lot of fun. |

Thanks crazy pilot really for the information, however I think your assessement was different then for the "German" Sun Express / Eurowings. Mollymawk is done in Turkey for Pegasus and Sun Express etc. There are tests in Hamburg for SunExpress Germany and Eurowings which for example has maths and advanced compass testing etc. The one you did was for the turkish Sun Express I believe. |

First of all, SXD (sunexpress Deutschland) is just a way of Lufthansa keeping a leg in the EU. They have not been doing much flying compared to our summer season and it's not looking that promising for them to grow. Second of all, SXD requires a decent German fluency in their flight crew. Even if you have a EU citizenship, you'll still need a Level B2 or even C1 in German language. Third and the last of all, SXD is one of the lowest paying companies operating in EU. A typical FO salary after tax will be around €2500. So it's an obvious no go. |

Expect Maximum Duty with minimum rest and minimum days OFF. Once per month you'll get a triple off after a night flight but your first duty after your off usually starts at 0100AM or 0300AM gmt. NO VACATION in your first year. 12 Days second year. And dont even try to get it in summer otherwise you'll have 1 week leave but you still fly 90+ hours. Roster extremely unstable, roster changes almost every day. Lowest paying company in Turkey. If you decide to go there try antalya base, at least you'll have some time in winter to recover if they dont send you to ankara or istanbul for the lovley layovers. they will lie to you and say they have the best crm and the best training in turkey... (i doubt it im sure the other companies are the same) If you choose izmir or antalya base you will have approx 900hours per year which is good for experience and bad for your health... 4 years to command and 3 years bonding after upgrade (you will mainly fly fatigued and with unexperienced FO's because the experienced ones either escape to qatar or become captains) My advice, get 1000 hours and go away as fast as you can and pay the contract fines. I wish i would have done so instead of wasting 2 more years there. or get the command and leave as fast as you can (if the companies will take you) For Prop and small jet direct entry captains its a nice opportunity to get hours and leave to ryanair or sth. similar. Only positive things to say: Company is non punitive. You can do a lot of visuals or fd off stuff (if youre not fatigued) Nice crew atmosphere. Stable company, they wont fire you if Business goes bad one year. |

So i got the result of the English test. i passed all the required subjects, with the exception of the writing, due to the mistake. HR said they could not offer me a second bonus invitation to do the exam, but she told me i could do this iTEP english test. somewhere else, and then proceed further once i have the certificate. and thats what im going to do. i really want this job. iTEP Test and HR department
Good evening guys,
I will explain my situation. I have applied for the F/O position for SXS two weeks ago. I have been contacted by Merve Kaykusuz from HR Department, sent all the documentation required. I think the HR department is not 100% active at the moment, because she replied me after one week. Anyway, I got an invitation from the iTEP English Test, and I performed it one week ago and still no answer. The strange thing is that I have received the invitation by the iTEP agency, without any official e-mail by SXS HR Department telling me to perform the test. Anyone of you got the same troubles? Applied to them as a NTR F/O this week, got answer right away to complete full application. I completed some online cv on the website, sent documents., "application has been provisionally approved." got this message whatever it means.
I am very much looking forward to an answer, from previous post I believe I want to work here. Seems like its legit I mean interviews are going and I have a good chance of being called right? |
I am very much interested in applying for SXS. However I do not lIve in Turkey and its pretty much impossible to move my family out of the country. Does anyone know whether commuting rosters or contracts are offerred?

Anyway, can someone confirm, even as PM, that there are no holidays during the 1 st year? Roster? A lot of mixed info unfortunately. A part from the 3 years bond is there anything else to pay if leaving early? Some say all the wages of the months that will be missed! Thanks for your help :) |

You will need to convert the FAA license into an EASA license before applying.

Eventually they disappeared! They asked me which flights I wanted to go and do the molly, I replied, never received an answer (wrote back a couple of times). Not a serious company I guess.
I can confirm no holidays for the 1st year of contract and what they told me is a "variable roster" which in Turkey means 5 days off per month in the Summer, something more in the winter. |
