It appears that all the courses up to April have been filled, 10 new FO's every month starting from September and as mesh said, a third a320 rated, a third non rated and a third cadets, as well as 4 onto the 757.

Not sure how many places are left on the April/may courses but I wouldn't imagine too many as I know we've been interviewing a lot in the last couple weeks.

Nice to see so much enthusiasm for our little airline, it really is a top place to work.

:)

Mr Angry from Purley is just an EMA-spotter. Disregard his trolling.

747 Downind 16th Aug 2012 13:04

Many thanks Alpha-Charlie, I shall sit and wait! Yes it is promising that at last non rated are considered! It's obvious an airline would favour rated as less cost and less time, also potentially no training risk, one would like to think! And low houred guys, well they may be a training risk, but once qualified they would do the same job for less money (so they should as they have less experience)... But it looks like a common sense approach to recruitment can't argue with that!
Well done Monarch, now put me out my misery!! Yay or Nay!!
Good luck guys

747 Downind 16th Aug 2012 13:18

I actually just spoke to someone at Monarch, very helpful lady, they are about half way through the applications. Some are being held for holding pool, places still available for courses this year, and more available from spring 2013. Could take a month or so for responses. So if your in the 'active application' stage will all just have to hope and wait

MJR 18th Aug 2012 12:23

Hi Chums

Has anyone had any trouble opening these automated replies from Monarch, I have two where the links fail to work and I can no longer access my online application?

CYKP 18th Aug 2012 14:46

Hello Everybody!! is it possible to be hired with only A320 TR and 250TT hours? Who's may contact for futher informations? Cheers!!

sdryh 18th Aug 2012 19:26

Anybody know if they will open up the application process again? I was stupid and didn't apply on the last run, rather regret it now.

Probably missed my chance for a year or so?

BuŁŁer.

renort 18th Aug 2012 21:13

People jumping from a relatively safe ship really do need to make themselves aware of the pension situation before making the leap.

RHINO 18th Aug 2012 22:12

on your logic renort no one would go to BA in a million years....

fmgc 19th Aug 2012 04:54

renort,

You are such a Troll:

http://www.pprune.org/search.php?searchid=573227

Nearly every post you make on these forums is anti Monarch, like you have personal vendetta.

Bored of you now.

emirates001 19th Aug 2012 12:11

My application changed last week from "Active" to "Hold". Has anyone got any idea what "Hold" means?

renort 19th Aug 2012 21:14

Your opinion FMGC, which of course you're welcome to, you've been on pprune long enough to work the ignore button. I just think that what arrived on my doormat the other day is relevant to the long term health of the company. If you disagree so be it.

BlackandBrown 19th Aug 2012 21:23

What arrived on your doormat? I happen to agree that Monarch isn't a safe gamble but if you want to stay in the UK and are currently on FlexiCrew then you are between a rock and hard place at the moment.

Mr Angry from Purley 20th Aug 2012 17:40

Hi Roy Hudd
You said
Mr Angry from Purley is just an EMA-spotter. Disregard his trolling.

Absolutely I take that a compliment but actually from LGW so i could be a little closer to you than you think :ok:
Anyway talking about trolling here's a reply from you to a question about Channex employment 5th Jan 2005

Roy Hudd response - "Why did you not ask the people who interviewed you? Strange for you to be posting your question on this site"

Known in the trade as game set and match :\

My sacastic response was purely to suggest asking questions about Monarch life after signing a contract seemed daft. We are on a professional Pilots site... :ugh:

mesh 21st Aug 2012 12:06

I must say, this site is going down the pan. Each time I pull up this thread due to a personal interest I keep reading postings from absolute nerds and unfortunately some guys/girls that can't help but put petrol on their flames. Let's cut the speculation from those who haven't a clue and likewise can I urge the 'normal' posters that end up in a tussle with these idiots...don't do it....just stick to the facts, that's what anyone whom is worth their salt and is interested in joining Monarch needs

greywind 21st Aug 2012 12:13

Another application on the "Hold" list - which I assume is the same as "Hold for interview"

mesh 21st Aug 2012 14:07

We have currently recruited 90 odd for the positions available. So why the hold pool? I have it on good authority that come October we may have obtained some other aircraft that would require more crews. Monarch as a lot of airlines, are currently in some big negotiations for contracts that will bring considerable business to the group and will require more hulls. I cant obviously go into what contracts but it seems the first 100 new FO's may be scratching the surface....fingers crossed for all 'holders'

Crosswind Limits 21st Aug 2012 14:57

Just got 2 emails from Monarch which I was unable to open so went to the application page and it seems I am on "hold" as of 21st August.

Reading the attached message on my application page it appears that I am on hold for a possible interview sometime in the future! ;)

JB007 21st Aug 2012 15:11

Hi Crosswind - as per WingoWango's post above, it would seem you've passed the screening and they will be in touch when numbers are decided for next year. If you click on display all details the full message will become available!

Congrats!

Crosswind Limits 21st Aug 2012 15:40

Thanks JB007 I can see it now!

Fingers crossed!

Application 'Hold'

Hi all

I've had my application changed to 'Hold' but I can't see any attachments, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place or maybe there's not one.

Any ideas what the 'Hod' status means?

Cheers

Crosswind Limits 21st Aug 2012 18:12

Almost certainly same as mine.

Mi EASA Su EASA 21st Aug 2012 18:18

Does anybody know the salary that we would receive from Monarch if we were to be successful?

fmgc 21st Aug 2012 18:19

How many hours do you have on Perf A aeroplanes?

Looker 21st Aug 2012 18:21

Hidden message

Yes the message is not the easiest to open - for those having trouble it reads;

Dear Applicant

Thank you for completing the online application for First Officer positions.

I am pleased to advise you that you have been successful at the first stage of our selection process.

Our recruitment campaign is still ongoing and once we have received our confirmed establishment figures for our
2013/2014 season we will be back in contact with you regarding the next recruitment stage.

In the meantime, if you have spent or you are considering spending time travelling overseas, please be aware that any
individual who spends six months or more in a single overseas country within five years of joining Monarch (including
countries within the EU) must obtain a Criminal Record Check (CRC) from that country. We would recommend that you
obtain a CRC whilst in the country, that is certified to the date that you depart and bring the certificate with you to
your interview. More information on how to obtain an Overseas CRC can be found by visiting the Dept for Transport
website: http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/security/p...elsecurity/crc.

Thank you for your continued interest in Monarch.

Yours faithfully

Application Hold

Thanks for the replys guys,

For the life of me I can't see any attachment, so I'm wondering if there's a reason for this . Anyone else had their status changed to Hold but have no attachment?

Cheers

alpha.charlie 21st Aug 2012 19:31

Monarch pilot jobs, payscales and entry requirements.

has all the up to date payscales.

For those joining with low hours, promotion(?) to SFO occurs at 1000 factored hours, I think it's x 0.9 for other airline flying and x 0.4 for flying school stuff.

:)

Firestorm 21st Aug 2012 19:48

I got the e-mail, and there was an attachment, but unopenable. I tried the application website, but was completely unable top open any of the messages there either. I hope and assume it's good but not urgent news.

emirates001 21st Aug 2012 20:14

I'm having the same issue. I can't open the attachment or view the message via the webisite. :bored:

Got same email and also got a feeling everyone who is in the system but hasn't received a rejection to date has now been updated to status "hold". Being the pessimist that I have (unwillingly) become in recent years, I think this is just a friendly way of them saying "we've been through enough applications now, we'll continue the chopping exercise in 2013".

Unless that is someone can tell me that many more rejections have gone out since the beginning of this week?

Phenom100 22nd Aug 2012 06:03

I'm through too, guess it's a waiting game now..

2000+ hrs on Caravan in PNG

Crosswind Limits 22nd Aug 2012 06:56

Well a mate of mine who applied at the same time I did got a rejection message on his application page yesterday so it appears not everyone is on hold!

mesh 22nd Aug 2012 08:18

I wouldn't think too much into hold, hold for interview and any difference. Basically we have nearly got the 100 but maybe interviewing for new positions end 2012 start 2013 and then those on hold will be called forward

Superpilot 22nd Aug 2012 09:44

Thanks guys, feel slightly better now!
Rated with a few hundred.

slav4o1 22nd Aug 2012 12:44

Rejected Non rated.. 500h med. jet. Good luck to all

PAPI-74 22nd Aug 2012 16:07

Monarch are hoovering up 757 pilots as fast as they can interview them.
If the T's & C's out there are not up to scratch, it would be a safe bet to say that some airlines might find themselves a few crew short very soon.

New T2 Office 22nd Aug 2012 19:54

:confused::confused::confused: Hoovering up?

We've got 4 starting early 2013............not sure thats 'hoovering up' though :O

747 Downind 22nd Aug 2012 20:03

I got the email yesterday 'Hold'. Couldnt open it as there is a problem with their link. But you can check the message as discussed above on your individual application. They still have places left for this year, but are waiting for company final decisions to determine their need for courses next year. So basically guys if you have 'hold', we are in a holding pool!! So lets hope they need to fish pilots out of that pool for the future.
Btw: Im non-rated, 3600 total, 2000 Boeing 737, 1400 regional jet.

2 Whites 2 Reds 23rd Aug 2012 18:51

Email here too. Although mine came about from a paper application which I submitted just prior to the online process opening. No mention of 'hold' on my email, just that they'd be in touch to arrange the next stage when they'd cofirmed the establishment numbers.

Happy days!
