Virgin recruitment
Has anybody got any idea if it will open again this year? Or have they filled their pilot requirements for now?
Thanks |
I had an email off them yesterday.
I applied in the last round in November. In January they said no to an immediate interview but they were holding on to my CV in case any further interview slots came up and that they'd hold my CV for 6 months. They emailed yesterday saying all recruitment is finished now so CV no longer held. They then had the nerve to say "we encourage you to re-apply". So it'll remain Malaga, not LAX, for me. |
Strange - just been golfing with a VS skipper today.
He was saying that a number of pilots have applied for part-time working and that the company are now embracing this scheme, because of possible savings. The likelihood seems that they may need a few more pilots if the scheme is rolled out properly. Apparently the savings come from the fact that most guys will be senior (can afford the pay cut), hence the highest incremental pay group - years 15 and up it appears. The new joiners would cost less comparatively, due to the lack of incremental pay i.e. joining on year 1. No idea if it'll happen, but seemed plausible to me. |
Oh Jesus Narrow - you don't play golf do you?

I'm sure golf whiles away the 15 year wait to command ;)

GA BUTTON: I played 3 rounds in 4 days down here. I took enough shots for 4 rounds and enough balls to keep Callaway in profit.....
Craggenmore: Seeing as I'm a Captain already, I couldn't give a damn what the time to Command is in VAA. I left VAA in 2009, but still fly routes that they do on occasion. But, for the record, it is more likely to be 20, as opposed to 15 years for a new FO to become a Captain from what I hear. |
Does anyone know the current status of the hold pool of the last round of recruitment...or is there a still a hold pool?
