AAS-Atlantic Aerospoace Service

Has anybody at this forum, ever been in contact with Atlantic Aerospace Service/AAS? Apparently an UK/US company offering ACMI services to airlines worldwide (incl. pilots to fly the planes). For the pilotservice AAS take in FOs who then pay for the linetraining and if the FO also need a TR, they offer to fix that as well.
I was keen on the linetraining, AAS offered in their ad and applied, at the same time requiring what T&Cs offered and what the estimated cost would be, as I thought "this aint for free".
After the ad AAS replied 4 months later (I did try to make contact within those 4 months), announcing, aircraft contracts was in place, jobs secured, all the positives was there, and, now we just need your Euros. No pilotcontract. No info about where/base, time frame, which airline, travel, Hotac, allowances, etc. etc.
If anybody got some infos to share, your experience, I certainly should like to hear how AAS are performing, if they ever went of the ground.

they did not give me information about airline , the base to work etc.
Were you to become a victim of these fraudsters, I think it would be reasonable for the respective aviation authority to cancel any airman qualification you may hold, based on your inability to evaluate and act accordingly on information presented to you.
From each of your posts, you already have enough information to make the correct decision. Having made that decision, I would hope you formally report this sham company to the aviation authorities.

Good morning,

I had the same problem as stated above : no information on the airline, terms and conditions or base (they just stated "Africa", that's vague!). Not the kind of conditions you would reasonably accept, especially when in charge of a family.

Hope that helps.

Good afternoon,

For all you chumps who get taken-in by these scammers:

Smarten up or find a different career!
(the ability to evaluate information and take the appropriate action is a prerequisite to becoming a professional pilot)

Hope that helps.

AAS

Hi Tommy T.
I was nowhere near to become a victim of AAS. I do possess a healthy ability, to know, what to expect from companies, before entering any contract or scheme. The first mail from AAS revealed, that something was absolutly rotten here.
But, I carried on with some sparse commmunication and I learned alot (where not to send any money).
Have you been in contact with AAS? or are you just in general p:mad: off on fraudster, trying to make some easy bucks, on the pilotmarked for TR & Linetraining?
Thx to the good colleagues sharing your experience.
Pilot I.
