Austrian T&Cs take a plunge
Parent Lufthansa has agreed to pump €140m into Austrian – but crew will be required to shift to Tyrolean T&Cs.
Staffing: Despite highly intensive and fair negotiations, it proved impossible to reach an agreement over the “Modernisation of Collective Agreements” work package for the flying staff. The measures discussed would not themselves have been sufficient to stop the automatic increase in costs from seven percent a year irrespective of the economic trend and success of the company. A transition is now being prepared to the subsidiary Tyrolean. With its cost level, Tyrolean offers a sustainable, forward-looking and competitive foundation. |
Emirates is waiting .....

Not only Emirates...

Hollow words; few if any will leave.
You know it, I know it, and Lufty know it too. |
Darn! There I was, hoping for such a massive Austrian exodus towards sandpit that it would make Tyrolean so desperate for pilots they would drop EASA licence, right to work in EU and fluent German requirements so I would be eligible to eventually enjoy T&Cs of Q400 TYR effoh. Seems this Tschusch won't make it to Wien this time around. :(
