HI,
I'm with CXC since one & half year.
They don't give you a lot of information. They send you how the system is working and the irisch rules, but that's all.
For ex, if your wife is not working, you can engage her. It means that you pay less tax. Of course, you must sure that your wife is used the money with you! Not with another one :ok:

Anyone else who got experience with one of these companies? I'm not sure if I should choose O'connors and associates or CXC. Any advice is welcome

I have to agree, get onto REPA,all the answers are there and much more,it has all the history of the airline and ideas of where the company(and the industry) is going if nothing is done about it.Don't be scared that ryanair might find out, because they cant.I believe it was 2007/8 when ryanair tried in vain to get the members actual names but failed miserably in the courts.Over 1800 people cannot be wrong!!

Ideally don't use any of them but if you have to then the best of a bad lot seems to be Scanlan & associates.

McNamara's will spend their time trying to sell you insurance products and giving you f**k all advice for the money you pay them...in fact an example of that is last December they sent an email to all the pilots advising that the new budget was just out and for the 'reduced sum of 100 Euro plus VAT they kindly give the pilot advice on how to reduce his/her tax liabilities!! (thats in addition to the 3% plus VAT they already receive).

CXC do nothing...know of a guy who hired a car for work ex base and took the insurance and they wouldnt allow him to claim it as it's an 'optional' extra. There are a number of allowable expenses that the revenue allow you to claim for but that CXC have a different opinion on.
