Some of the stuff written by agencies makes me want to :{ :ugh: and :rolleyes: pretty much in equal measure.
See the Asky job in Lomo is back again, security must be getting better there, it seems to be taking them about 4mths to escape at the moment, the gaps between the ads are getting slightly longer. I love how they say after sucessful screening in Addis candides will BE TAKEN :uhoh: to Lomo to commence line flying. Non commutable contract has a slightly sinister air about it :eek:

Having been there for 4 weeks before Christmas you'd have to pay me $1,000,000 to accept a contract out there...and if you ever try to cross the road there you're teeth will end up like this :}

As you explained to me in a PM, the Saudi job is for Saudi Aramco....... before you get negative about this company, I would suggest that you read some of the Middle East forum threads about them............... By all accounts, they treat their "employees" exceptionally well. (Contractors might be different.) Also have a look at AramcoBrats, Inc. - Home and you might be even more surprised :)

As for this fallacy about pilots getting their passport confiscated, where did you get that from?

We can find good points I guess in most jobs, maybe I am just becoming too cynical to look too deep these days :hmm:

My father-in-law's been with Saudi Aramco for 32 years it is a genuinely top notch company.

A lot of their drivers live in Bahrain and commute across the causeway to work, although the company compound in Dhahran has to be seen to be believed it's amazing.

It's absolutely one of the best jobs in the sandpit, relatively free of so much of the crap that plagues the actual mid east airlines, I'd go there tomorrow if I had an FAA licence.
