PARC or RISHWORTH ?? Beijing Capital (China) or Asiana Airlines (Korea) ??
 
Parc and Rishworth made an enrollment presentation in Mexico looking for pilots to fly in China, Russia, Korea, Egypt, Vietnam, Indonesia and Japan. Most of these companies require 1500+ PIC hours.

Having 16,000+ TT and 1400 PIC hours on A320, I can only apply on BEIJING CAPITAL and SPRING AIRLINES in China and ASIANA AIRLINES in Korea.

I have never in my life worked out of my country, but as you certainly know, Mexicana has been grounded for now and I have to look forward to bring some food to my children's table.

What is the best…..
PARC or RISHWORTH ?
CHINA or KOREA ?
BEIJING CAPITAL, SPRING, or ASIANA AIRLINES ?

I am sorry about mexicana...
Too many companies go bust. My advice would be to check the forum and then you could form an opinion. The truth is somewhere in between.

I don't know about Rishworth but for sure Parc Aviation has a very good reputation in Europe.
Some of my friends have been hired via Parc and they have been pleased by the way they were treated...

To put food on the table, you need the maximum amount of cash. Take the total package, deduct the living costs and tickets home and the one that gives your family the most cash has to be the winner. Maintenance, Rules of the Air, local customs will suit some and not others so may I suggest for a short term contract, cash is king.

If you search the threads here relating to Rishworth you will struggle to find anything neutral let alone positive said about them.

PARC vs Rishworth is a no-brainer, for the rest I would second the advice already given, but also consider which contract will maximise your limited time at home. Yes the money is important , but you want also to see these mouths you are feeding as often as you possibly can.

Anyway PARC Aviaton by far is a professional operation. I have ferried aircraft and performed Local Acceptance Flights on their behalf. On occasasion I had to pay for my hotel with my credit card. However, I was reimbursed within 24 hours of PARC receiving my hotel bill, along with any other out of pocket expenses.

Whom to use?
 
Stay far far (mind you Mexico is far enough!) away from Rishworth!

On that matter of Agent selection include also Sigma, Brookfield, VOR Holdings & GPS as TO BE AVOIDED!

Asiana and several Chinese Airlines both have very high failure rates.
Ask your new potential Agent and see what they reply.

Failures starting with security Clearances, License Checks, the medical, ATPL exam, ICAO 4 exam (if required) and the initial sim check and subsequent line checks.
Failures rates from 75-90% in some cases after almost a year into the Agreement are not unheard of.

Read the fine print in your Agreement, remember E-mails are not legally binding, ask a lot of questions from your Agent on areas that are unclear.

DO NOT SIGN ANY FORM OF A DOCUMENT in advance unless you are 100% satisfied with terms and conditions being offered and it is clear.

Limit the Agents period of representation to 3-6 months maximum during the evaluation phase until you are officially clear of all obstacles. Why - they could be sitting on their asses all the while you are thinking they are plugging away on your behalf. This way when the clock is ticking, they are also liable.

Even after being so careful myself, I am still owed sums of $ from many listed above and collecting from Mexico in Hong Kong, the UK, China or New Zealand is like trying from the South Pole!

Even though you are in a very tough spot, diligence and being very careful will at least get you some satisfaction in knowing the Agent you eventually sign up with, will at least ACT AS AN AGENT!

I have worked with PARC in Vietnam alongside colleages that were with Rishworth, PARC is one of the best company in the business, good luck! :D

I worked for Parc in 1990 and 1991 in Saudi and Kenya. Great company to work for then and the money was allways in the bank on time.

I have been reading in other threads about PARC vs RISHWORTH and that’s why I state the question....

All of you are right... PARC is a good choice... and I will take care with the ones you already banned.

What about CHINA vs KOREA?
What about BEIJING CAPITAL vs SPRING, or vs ASIANA AIRLINES?

Which of them are less trickster? Which one is more serious? Which one is trustier?

I will ask the more questions I can ask to my potential agent, and for sure, I will try to read the fine print and of course, I will not sign anything until I fulfill my question list.

What about CHINA vs KOREA?
I know a couple of Flight Safety Boeing guys that have done training for carriers in both countries.
Their recommendation...Korea. Asiana would be their first choice.

Pick three Agents.

Apply to all of the jobs.
As a newbie to the Expat World this is the way to play the game.

The China ones can take months for the processing BEFORE you are even invited to a screening.

In Korea I'm not sure of the exact process but there again the risk is high.

So if you get a chance in Korea first and it does not work out, then the China Applications are still being worked on.

Remember 6 months is the min. time usually from where you are and the 1st paycheck.

Huaxun is an Agent (seems ok as far as feedback goes) in Schenzen also looking after 320 offers in China.

Leasing Companies
 
I would also suggest looking at WASINC International. I currently work with WASINC at Shenzhen Airlines and really like it. WASINC is actually the largest leasing company in China. PARC and Rishworth do not have nearly as many pilots flying in China. These guys really know how things work over here making life much easier than other pilots here. You'll find that most airlines in China have a few leasing companies finding pilots for them...all are the same contract so the real difference is how much support you get after you hired. WASINC actually has an office in Shenzhen with Chinese-speaking local staff who can help you. For example, Shenzhen Airlines has 4 agents now but all of the other crews are going to switch to WASINC when they renew because they are just treated so much better.

All I can say about PARC and Rishworth is that they have a variety of jobs but they are very small fish in China. I plan to stay at WASINC for awhile here in China but I would consider anything that WASINC is offering anywhere in the world.

I also just talked to Mr. Turner and Mr. Ross at WASINC and they are headed down to Mexico City this week to do a job fair. I think it is on their website on location and times but it would be a good idea to go and hear what they offer.

Make sure that China income taxes are paid , who ever you work for. Up to 40+% of income . Good Luck!

Take a shot at Asiana: much more westernised than the Chinese.

2.If you are by yourself , The best contract is not the one you get more money , but the one you can save more money.

3.I have no references about all this companies , but between China and Kore , I`d choose China.
